    Wow.Just.Wow!

Mavropanos goal at the 90+8 mark to beat Hertha! So far 3 out of a possible 6 points. With one more game (at Bayer Leverkusen) before the WC, can VfB make it 6 points out of 9? If they can pull that off, they'll be a little bit closer to safety, in the middle of the table.

And the matchday money, and the commercial revenue, and the broadcast share?

    Week 14: 3-5-6 14 points

Been traveling Up North (Alaska) so couldn't watch matches or post much.

Week 13 away loss to Borussia Moenchengladbach 3-1 with only a Tomas goal from Sosa assist.

Week 14 home win 2-1 over Hertha Berlin as noted above in stoppage time. Tomas through ball sent Guirassy in for first goal, and then Sosa corner kick headed in by Mavropanos. VfB will greatly miss Sosa when he is sold and the money wasted. Ito can take his place, but not replicate the crosses.

    Goals-Assists
    Silas 3 - 2
    Sosa 0 - 5
    Guirassy 4 - 0
    Tomas 2 - 2
    Mavropanos 2 - 1
    Führich 2 - 0
    Endo 2 - 0
    Ahamada 2 - 0
    Anton 1 - 0
    Ito 0 - 1
    Stenzel 0 - 1
Kalajdzic 0 - 3 - gone to Wolverhampton and picked up season-ending ACL injury in first match

    Goals scored: 18
    Goals conceded: 25
    Clean sheets: 1

I wonder is Sosa has improved his price from his World Cup with Croatia. He was a little inconsistent, but they depended on him to get up the wing. We'll need to fight hard to stay up without him. Better buy a replacement in the same window.

I read somewhere that it wasn't financially necessary to sell him at this point, so I hope that was a true statement, and we can keep him to the end of the season, at least.

The Sosa/Führich left side is the one very good facet this team has…other than Mavropopanos
