With a tactically astute manager, players that can adapt to changing ebbs and flows in the game, continously changing in-game variants of thrust and soak of the opposing teams play - in other words the anti-Arsenal - I highly doubt they would have done Chels!

Right you are, boy howdy! I said they'd beat a few other teams in the Prem, not that they'd vanquish all evil in the world.

    OUT: Heinze D MU 6.9

    IN: G Neville D MU 6.9

    Bank: 2.7

Last roster with changes in bold:
    Diouf F BW 7.4
    Rasiak F TH 6.5
    Horsfield F WB 5.6
    Gerrard M LI 9.0
    Scholes M MU 9.5
    Gray M BC 5.5
    Davis M AV 5.1
    Fabregas M AR 7.0
    Terry D CH 8.5
    G Neville D MU 6.9
    Hyypia D LI 6.5
    Mills D MC 4.5
    Campbell D AR 6.4
    James GK MC 5.0
    Carroll GK WH 3.5
    97.4

A bit odd it would appear, but this is where I wanted to end up so I did it in one step rather than two. I thought I remember getting some time with an injured player before you started losing value. Does not seem to be the case this year and Heinze was on the verge of losing value.

Now its off to San Francisco and Napa Valley to visit second Daughter. Brother djangone will join on Sunday for a Giants/Dodger game and some golf early in the week. Much more fun than hanging around you guys.

    Excellent goal from him.
He played quite well today, doubt he'll miss many games now, he's hitting some sort of form at last - unless, of course, he picks up an injury.

Pork Soda won't be breaking 40 points this weekend. Time for some catch-up by everyone else. Shutouts are what drives the Other White Drink, and that's not happening this weekend.

vsrocks.com is updated with the Harewood post, but not again until Wednesday as I'm out getting my a$$ kicked at the Ocean Course at Half Moon Bay by V2U and his 9 handicap...

... And about 10 minutes apart, no less! And a closer look reveals that those 10 minutes must have cost me .1 mil -- 6.7 when Hal made the move, 6.6 when I did. That's what I get for milling around!

Marakana, I have a double trade proposal for you for next week -- already spent my free trade for week 7...

I think the .1 difference is that I quoted the buy price and you quoted the sell price for McBride.

I'm FURIOUS! How is it that Warner didn't get points for that brilliant back-header goal?! Oh... I see. That was an OWN goal...

In the FFLO league, that would have cost about 3 points I believe ;)

ColdDogSoup FC not regretfully announces we are merciless bastards and have let go Gardner despite the tremendos job he has done as he can no longer do anything for us lately along with Davids, simply ran out of goggles, and Clement just to show we could.

In comes Richardson because he looks a bit like a lion, Warnock and Perry.

From San Francisco, in an internet cafe off Union Street, I got to witness Vegas2U as he first discovered that Sol Campbell had scored a pair while we were golfing the Presidio. I turn it over to him:

    Vegas2U: "Phhhhhbbbbbtttt!!!"

PS. Pork Soda's luck may have just run out.

I'd like to personally thank Phil "Chopper" Neville for his attempt to break Pires's leg and the for consequent 1 point the poor little frenchman scored. The object of the game is actually to kick the BALL. And no, they weren't booing you at Highbury because you used to play for Man U, but because you're a dirty player.

    I second that emotion.

How Everton kept a full team on the pitch I'll never know. Arteta is another one that should have gotten a card or three. Oh well, we've beaten them 13-1 over the last three games. Congrats to JAR on his fine kick of the weaker Neville sister. Well worth the card.

In other news, Manager Cannon of the Rockville Gunners complained that most of his players were "bloated fatcat Prem bastards with poor attitudes and the workrate of his dead grandma."

Sources at the club report that the axe will fall on a few before the next game.

Bonuses are out, saved by Breen the goal scoring bonus machine and 2 for Owen.

Now I have to figure out what to do with the space on the shelf I cleared out for this weeks Gold Medal. Maybe Vegas could bring me one of those streetcar shakers. Hmmm, golfing at the Presidio, hanging out in one of the great cities, a half season from Sol in one day, Phhhhhbbbbbtttt!!!, I'm not envious about "Boring, Boring VegasVirgins ruining the league..."

Where else in the US could you go to an internet cafe that proudly advertises it's "Korean BBQ." It's located next to a French cafe, sidewalk service included, and across the street from the "gates" to Chinatown. Only in SF. Some misadventures as well, but I'll let djangone tell that story.

Back to reality. Well kinda. Still basking in to glow of the Campbell bonanza. The guy with the highest score in the FPL had Campbell as captain. Now why didn't I think of that. :D
