Request postings in this thread be restricted to just the 8 prospective VSR managers for the Very Small Rocks 2012-2013 season.

Situation: Two of the projected VSR managers were inactive for substantial portions of last season.
Pittsadelphia was totally inactive from GW 11 - 36 while Ram It In There was inactive from GW24 to 38 except for one GW either 30 or 31.
This did not meet the spirit or intent of the commitment to stay active for the entire season which I thought was one of the foundation principles of these All Rocks drafted leagues.

I request that Pittsadelphia and Ram It In There be invited to post an explanation of their extended periods of inactivity last season and why this season will be different. As the All Rocks Leagues organizing threads have started, suggest that these explanations be posted by Sunday evening, July 29. I will send emails to the two managers alerting them of this thread along with BigSoccer conversations.

After they have had a chance to explain, I propose that the other 6 VSR managers vote on the following:

    1. Welcome Pittsadelphia and Ram It In There membership in VSR
    2. Deny Pittsadelphia and Ram It In There membership in VSR
Advisory options if select proposal 2 above:
2a. Deny membership in VSR but recommend they restart in the Dust League to demonstrate their re-commitment to stay active the entire season.
2b. Deny membership in VSR and recommend they not be allowed to participate in the All Rocks Leagues.

I further propose that a majority vote from the other 6 managers will be final. It takes 4 of 6 to determine between 1 and 2.

Proposals 2a and 2b, if proposal 2 is selected, would be advisory.
For example, the advisory recommendation would be shared with the Dust League members who could then determine whether or not to accept these managers regardless of our recommendation.

Please post your vote. If they are welcomed, I will say nothing more about it.

I don't want inactive managers in the VSR this season. That said, if there was really a valid reason then I'm open to discussion, but on principle I'd rather promote active managers

I was under the impression Pittsadelphia was doing a lot of first time dad duties last year that would have taken up an awful lot of his time. A full season of dadness under his belt would give him more time for the more important things such as FPL.

Not sure why Ram It In There wasn't that active but I'm more than happy to listen to any reasons why but I'll need to do my vote either way sometime before 4pm London GMT on Monday as I will be gone after that.

I probably need to amend my proposal to include votes separately for Pittsadelphia and Ram It In There after they have had a chance to explain what happened. It's possible that one might make a convincing case and the other not.

Basically Fraser has got it. My first child was born Nov 16. I am a teacher in my other life and my wife owns her own business. When I got home from work at 3:30 she left for work until 9:30ish. Didn't make me life available for much else for awhile. KopiteinKC is still my hero for drafting while with his wife in the hospital two years ago.

I would disagree that I was inactive though. Inactive in what terms? I did not make nearly as many transfers as in previous years or write trash talking posts but I did change my lineup formation around. I just did not have the time for typical research needed for transfers. The problem being that there is not one central resource for transfers. Ideally GoogleDocs would be that but not everyone uses it.

This year however I've gotten moved from 11th grade English to 12th. Without going into details just know at my school that means I only teach 4 days a week, Fridays I observe students in an internship. Needless to say my schedule opens up a but then plus add in that I now have an iPhone from an old flip phone and suddenly now I have 24 hour access to interweb.

Hopefully all this added to my several years of active participation and assholery will account for something. You all will understand as I really want to get another shot at LoboMojo.

And just so no one thinks I am making that rugrat up! (and hopefully that face will win my sympathy points. Yes I am not above using my son for my benefit.)

I have no opinion. I guess all I care about is if guys are able to participate, or nominate someone in their place, in the draft. In the end, this is just a game....I am very active, and been promoted twice. But if someone is inactive and finished ahead of me despite my being very active....that's my problem.

Keep both...if both can participate in the draft.

My explanation isn't as long or as good as Eddie's:(:p

Last spring I was focused on finishing my university capstone and graduating from college, all while working two jobs at around 60 hours per week. I am done with school now so that will not be an issue come the end of this season. I also joined the smartphone age in the last couple months, a fantasy football luxury I had never had before.

All I can do is make a vow to be active throughout the entirety of next season, just as I was active for the majority of last season.

I appreciate the explanations of both Pittsadelphia and Ram It In There managers.

I accept that last season was a one of and am willing to accept their assurances to stay active this year.
My vote is for both to be VSR members this season.

Four out of 4 of the managers who have voted have all voted to accept both Pittsadelphia and Ram It In There as VSR members after their assurances of staying active this season. We do not need to wait for the other two votes as 4 constitutes a majority.

I will now put the emails into the draft randomizer to determine the VSR 2012-13 draft order.
