Very Small Rocks 2022-23 Banter thread

Allegedly, the VSR league is full.

I'll post the VSR 2021-22 Teams (Last Year's Names) and Managers as we organize for the upcoming Premier League Season.

I've already signed up Aviators again for the coming season.

Managers need to sign up for this year's game, pick their team name and post it in this thread.

Other info we'll need;

I'll create a VSR League and send the access code to the other VSR Managers.

Need to confirm everyone's latest email, send me a Private Message with your contact info:

email, phone, Time Zone from where you'll draft, preferences on how to be notified it's your turn: i.e. Phone call: Text Message; email; Private Big Soccer message; whatever.

For example, I like a phone call backed up with a text message that it's my turn. I never assume the communications was received until it's acknowledged.

 

From the Intent To Continue Thread, these are the VSR 2022-23 Teams/Managers and how they qualified for VSR.
2 relegated from Small Rocks; VSR finishers in 4th, 5th, and 6th place; (2 VSR were promoted and one additional VSR was promoted due to a non-returning Small Rocks manager); 3 from Sand, Sand 1, the official team promoted and Sand 3 and 4 to complete VSR since Sand 2 declined to continue.

Also, indicate your draft constraints and preferences for when you want to start the draft. From past experience, we usually complete the "Go Slow" draft in 3-4 days.
The opening game is on Aug 5, so we should try to pick a date to allow us a few days for the post draft, squad adjustment period.

My draft constraint is that I'm competing in an American Contract Bridge League Summer Nationals Tournament from July 14-27 in Providence, Rhode Island. I'll get home to Virginia on the 28th and be ready to draft then.

 

I decided not to go to Providence for the Bridge tourney, so I'm OK for starting our draft Saturday, Jul 25th.

I'll go ahead and run the draft randomizer tomorrow, as I have everyone's email. That way we can begin serious planning for our draft, knowing the order and can get a semblance of how many rounds we can complete each day. Also, I'll send all the league contact info to the league managers so you can coordinate with the manager who picks before and after you in accordance with their preferences.

As we are all experienced All Rocks Draft managers, I'm assuming we can complete 3-4 rounds per day.

Does anyone volunteer to make the VSR 22-23 Draft Eligible Players list, (set when the first pick is made)?

Someone has already put together a team spreadsheet, which I will reorder in the order of the draft after I run the draft ramdomizer.

Our VSR 22-23 Draft starts out with two CDT (UTC -5), followed by three EDT (UTC-4). That should allow for quick draft picks going down and up the draft.

After #5 pick we adjust to our Aussie pick AUS EST UTC+10. That's a 14 hour difference.

It's the same 14 hour difference between #6 Bigger Boat, and #7 GameOfOhhhs.

I foresee good coordination among those three managers, with perhaps use of proxy selections. As I am usually on for much of the draft, other managers can PM me their proxy selections.

Then we have a 5 hour time difference between #7 and #8. The good thing is that Lokomotiv Lewisham gets to make two selections when it's his turn.

 

Good Catch, I was looking at my calendar which was still set on June.

Start of the VSR 22-3 Draft will be Monday July 25!
