Don't you just hate it; pressing the start of a new season panic button, then watching your carefully drafted players get snapped up by another manager and perform wonders while your new captures lose price value almost instantly when they don't get the required minutes. Wondering..... does Willian move out after the English window closes and leave something of a draft when Chelsea can't replace him through the open European window? If he stays, is Giroud the man to help out up front? With Premier League club managers not always sure of their best eleven, how is the poor fantasy chappy supposed to get the starting players anywhere close to looking right. Even a super-sub or two will do. Players we've had in the past blow hot and cold way too often.
This year will take some patience on our parts as the players return from the World Cup and we see the effects of their extra workload. Lots of new players to consider as well. August can be volatile.
I am trending towards not having 11 players start the first week or two and then go all guns blazing by the end of August I would hate to transfer out someone like Hazard and then watch one of you lot snap him up and get 200 points from him!
World Cup rest, new players, great games first week, and Mou just playing games makes for a challenging first week...uugghh
Everton's last-minute dealings look interesting. Will everything gel and how long will it take though?
Decisions, Decisions.... Worried that Alli might make it back and line up between Eriksen and Son; although the South Korean will be off to the Asian Games soon. Getting twitchy about Lucas Moura. How about the rest of you fiddling around in the pool?
It's like the World Cup all over again - without the VAR - as captain Paul Pogba trots up to the ball on the penalty spot and dinks it past the Danish keeper within three minutes.
Gameweek 1 - Night 1 The so-called 'Best Goalkeeper in The World' keeps a clean sheet for ninety minutes then watches the ball hit the post in injury time and allows Kopite Vardy to poach past him and nod the rebound over the line. A first ever 'fluke goal' for Manchester United then sees Newark Shaw become the most transferred in player overnight and Colonia's Chief do a Jose in the Press Conference: 'If I was a fan, I wouldn't pay to watch these misfits. We are not a team, we are a fantasy'. Dreamer Shaw now wants to be 'up there with the best left-backs in the world'. It's going to be an interesting season.
So Alli does play (along with Harry and Hugo) but it's Son who sits on the bench. Looking forward to watching this one live.
Shaw was a nice punt. I hope he can claim that position. Vardy's goal was inexcusable. DeGea simply watched the whole sequence.
