I'm not sure it's as easy as that. Once you go above 10 managers you then have the disadvantage of each team being unable to rotate their starting GK most likely. I do agree that something needs to be done to stop us losing any more managers but I think 8 is the ideal number per division. Has everyone exhausted all avenues of bringing in any newbies? How many are we short for Sand League at present?
I still think we should use the FPL Draft to build up 2-3 lower divisions while using our long draft for those already used to it. Then, over time and as teams get promoted, more teams get to be in the long draft.
Four makes the disaster even worse .....wonder who torpedoed the sinking ship. Happy to be a troll .. nicer than other names being banded about. I actually revisited to see if the drafting method had been improved or at least kept to one site instead of self promoting sites, as I was aware the Dr and others maybe in need of numbers to help build a 3rd league. As I can now see that is not the case I will retreat to the darkest depths of the southern hemisphere from which I came. FYI, I opted to leave so I could drop two leagues , ask yourself as to why I would do that ?
Again, if we have managers who want to play, why don't we create leagues using the FPL Draft and then incorporate the new players into our system? I've posted this three times and I understand that the silence this proposal has been met with is my answer, but could someone formally let me know to shove off or to investigate further?
The proposal is fine , the downside for me to the official draft version is that the longest any draft pick can have is 120 seconds, where as games like Fantrax allow up to at least 12 hours. I'm taking part in a Fantrax league this year. Another thing I like about Fantrax is that you can set up a scoring system that suits everybody & doesn't just rewards anybody who scores like the EPL game does with their bonus system.
Seasons not even started and the animosity has begun already - wondering if its worth the hassle to be honest !
Here is how I see the state of Play at the moment - all feel free to (constructively) amend: 1) Sand League as it is in All Rocks seems destined not to continue- 4 (5 most?) members as I see it 2) I have set up a FPL Draft comp with the maximum 120 seconds time limit (best I can do ) . This could act as a pseudo Sand League ... a league where the not cool kids play .. whatever 3) If one were to want a longer draft time.. then Fantrax may be the go, but given I know nothing of such site - maybe Muppet Boy is the one to set it up if all want to play that one? I vote number 2 above as I would rather put up with a 2 minute draft to just have to use the FPL site all season, but others may differ. And one good thing about the 120 second draft we can do it very close to Season Opener to allow maximum player movement... Finally this Division could be the unofficial " Sand League" and a gentlemans agreement that whoever gets top spot (of the non SR /VSR players .. if they are needed to boost our numbers) ..gets dibs on VSR etc. but that point can be discussed another day .. lets just get this sorted ? Thoughts y' all ?

I just think that our format is not going to be popular because the new draft sites make it easier, so if we want to expand our divisions I think we need to set up two--Sand and Dust-- and advertise them as part of a league where competitive managers can be promoted and relegated and play with other like-minded serious players. If we keep it at FPL, then those new players can also join the other competitions we offer. I would support #2 above.
I like option 2 as well though with everybody's location finding a time that suits all is extremely hard. Might try message to FPL and see if they have thought of the issue it causes. If they realise they are losing players they may increase the options, if you don't ask you don't get, so no harm asking.
