Well that makes it a good thing, potentially. Poor defending. Verona killed us on the counter and stacked their box whenever our attackers were near. Need a bit more magic out there. Where's Berlu?
It amazed me how bad we looked in the center of midfield. It looked almost exactly like last year. Could De Jong be that important?(Yes). I really don't understand the point of SES/Niang so far out wide on the wings. I'd much rather have them play closer to the center OR have someone play behind 2 fwds to link midfield/fwds OR just play an extra midfielder. We did not look good defensively at all in the midfield nor CB. Set pieces/crosses defense were horrible. Very disappointed in todays performance. Props to Verona, they came to play and the crowd was very into it. I don't know if there was any racist behavior but they sounded loud from the TV. Besides the fights at the end I thought they were good.
i didn't watch or even follow on twitter. i was at the lake and had no cell service. i can only imagine the guys didn't focus on this game and are looking ahead to the psv match... i hope.
