Busio shoots fourth in the shootout and makes, evening it at three makes each. Excellent pen.

 

Zampano misses on the final kick and Spezia advance 4-3 on penalties.

Final score: Venezia 1-0 Spezia, Busio went the full distance, Tessmann played just the first half.

Finishes 1-3 Palermo on the road over Venezia. Lund was good, Tessmann & Busio poor.

Busio was subbed for performance. Lund I suppose it was tactical. Contributed a drawn penalty and secondary assist. Sound in possession and on d. This was his 1st start since the reportedly poor one early in the season. Maybe he'll keep it now.

Tessmann was neutral until the end when he got beat in behind for a goal. Again demonstrates his sub-par quickness (I don't get this incessant myth he's an athlete, he's just big) & his lack of intensity to recover and challenge the ultimate shot. His instincts are more offensive, making him kind of a tweener right now.

 

Lost in the shuffle yesterday, Moderna 1-3 Venezia, Tessmann playing the full game, Busio starting and playing 80'.

Venezia is temporarily in 2nd, with 4 wins, 3 draws, and 1 defeat, but several teams just behind them have a game or two in hand.

 

It’s a nice place also to find a game recap (like above) rather than wade into any individual thread and the nonsense therein.

 

Busio and Tessmann have the goals today, and Venezia lead 2-1 in the second half against Parma.

Lost 0-1, Busio went the full distance, Tessmann came on at 72’, and Tessmann received a late yellow card. The ref had a busy day issuing cards, and Venezia played short-handed the last 30’ or so. Venezia also missed a late first-half PK.

Venezia remain in 4th place.
