Brad Pascale had a doozie as well. I won't post his tweet here but it is even more gross. What a POS.....
Doesn't arguing that a child born within your borders are not subject to all of that's jurisdiction create an ugly black market?
I'm sure the writer of that article belongs to MENSA. It is a thing, but we all just don't recognize their brilliance.
Barbara Boxer with some left shots for Harris. https://www.yahoo.com/news/former-s...cord-if-she-believes-she-erred-221928655.html
????? What is the purpose of this post? If Harris made mistakes she should apologize. It's hard for me to think of a more anodyne statement.
Great post. https://talkingpointsmemo.com/edblog/trump-and-that-disrespectful-woman Behind a paywall, but you should pay. It's about Trump calling KH disrespectful. "It’s all but impossible to imagine Trump or really anyone else in US politics using this language against anyone but a black person or a woman and especially a black woman. It’s not even that it’s inappropriate or ugly. They wouldn’t even make sense otherwise. You can say the words themselves and it’s obvious. Our political vocabulary has numerous attack words for hitting people on the leftward side of the political spectrum, from sedate to harsh: liberal, stupid, crooked, sleazy, untrustworthy, radical. The list goes on and on. If someone attacked Bill Clinton or Joe Biden or Tim Kaine as “disrespectful” it wouldn’t so much be offensive as make people scratch their heads. (That might even apply to Hillary Clinton, though there it’s a closer call.) You might as well accuse them of having three heads or having polka dot colored hair. We don’t generally expect politicians to be “respectful”. Being “respectful” is an affective component to subservience or subordination. We expect children to be respectful to adults because they’re children and adults are adults. We expect politicians to be alphas, strong, calling the shots rather than being bossed around. Calling one disrespectful is just a square peg in a round hole. Except with a black woman."
Totally! On a similar vein, a friend of mine posted something on FB supporting the Biden-Harris ticket and some white dudes, former HS classmates from Iowa, went after her and Kamala with some nasty comments, calling Harris "Fake" and " Uppity". I generally don't engage on FB exchanges but did an exception and went after them with a vengeance. Kamala seems to really trigger trumpsters, particularly white males. As Josh (and Biden) mentioned, Trump and the trumpsters seem particularly angry and hateful at strong WOC's. It is almost irrational.
This is a great in-depth article on the VP search. A lot of insight and details and worth reading. I am repeating myself here, the Biden team (campaign and advisors) is really top notch, real pros. For those who were concerned about Kamala's campaign team (and apparently the Biden team was as well), here are some details. The potential for conflict between Biden and Harris advisers was resolved in another way, at least for now: Mr. Biden and his advisers made plain to Ms. Harris that they expected to have the same understanding with respect to staff hiring that Mr. Biden had followed with former President Barack Obama. During the campaign and, if they win, during a Biden-Harris administration, Ms. Harris’s staff hiring would be approved by Mr. Biden. Jennifer O’Malley Dillon, Mr. Biden’s campaign manager, told Ms. Harris plainly after she was picked that they would be one team, and that she would have the full support of the Biden staff. But selecting Ms. Harris for the vice presidency did not mean selecting her full political entourage for jobs in the campaign or government. That rule would apply, Ms. Harris was told, even to her sister, Maya Harris, a former Hillary Clinton adviser who is Kamala Harris’s closest confidante. Revealing her own pragmatic core, Ms. Harris readily agreed to those terms. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/08/13/us/politics/biden-harris.html
Apparently Harris is the first major-party nominee who knows the words to “Oh Canada.” In English and French.
Last night was a big night for Harris. On se voit au match 6.#GoHabsGohttps://t.co/wxRiZWInkL— Canadiens Montréal (@CanadiensMTL) August 20, 2020
