  2. This may not be a bad thing for all parties. Maybe a little less money this year in exchange for a longer deal. I'm surprised Brown hasn't gotten any nibbles from Germany (unless he isn't interested). In '99 he played 180 shutout minutes against the German National Team.

    Agreed, but with the cap worries and all, can they sign both?

    Another chapter in the soap opera that is the Fire.
     
  4. I'm sure the FIRE is trying to open up some cap space to pay incoming draftees. All the P-40s may be gone by the time we get to our second round pick. How many college grads can the FIRE get at developmental player money? Even the A-League might pay more.

    I'd take CJ over Thorton if only one could be signed. Not that CJ is a more important or better impact player than Thorton, just that there seems to be too many good goalkeepers as it is and would think we could find another one easier than a solid experienced defender.
