I can't see why he would want to go to a club that's sure to be playing in the 2nd Division next year. It doesn't make any sense.

I know that he's not happy playing backup to Vignal, but he should bide his time a little bit longer and wait for a club that's assured of top flight football, at least inasmuch as a club can be assured of that.

Kaiserslautern will only be allowed to sign a player if they find an investor who's paying 100% of transfer sum and salary. In case of relegation it might be that they don't even play a further season given their financial record of about 30 M in debts.

2nd Division? Try 3rd Division once their license is revoked.

the article didn't mention it, but does anyone know if this would be a full transfer or just a loan until the end of the season?

I think the topic is already over. Kaiserslautern signed Bill Tchato from Montpellier for the left backer position. I got no clue how they finance or if the league is once again bending the rules for their favourite clubs.
