I don't know if I'll be able to watch - we'll be up nort' in Eagle River this weekend hoping to catch a few fish and hear some loons calling in the morning.

I had fallen a bit behind in watching these, and I noticed that the last 3 or 4 are non-studio / non-hosted, just short (1-2 minute) videos of a player talking and video highlights of that player. One was Cristian Espinoza visiting the Bombonera indoor soccer facility in San Leandro that the Quakes I guess helped finance. There is a mural of Espinoza on the front of the facility, about which Cristian says "I feel very happy to see one picture of me". There are a lot of Quakes logos and stuff in the facility and I guess this is part of the Quakes attempt to do a little outreach outside of the south bay.

The only other episode of note was the one with Benji talking about playing right back, basically saying it's not much different from what he was already doing, just a bit more defensive oriented. He also said "If you watch the games we look like a whole completely different team". Of course this was just after the RSL win I think, and then the Minnesota game was...not so much.

There's one episode with Judd that was...uh, not very notable.

Yeah, there’s certainly something to be said for last season’s three regular hosts (with the occasional guest host now and then) consistently giving us full episodes all throughout the season.

    GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!!

I'll sign up for the spoon.

I don't know if we're allowed to use these wooden spoons for anything other than to mop our tears, but they're great for eating ice cream.

2 volunteers! I will 100% show up to hand out little wooden spoons. Anything to protest this complete rip off of Bay Area soccer fans.

I would probably hysterically laugh if they confiscated the wooden spoon citing it as a weapon.

Ian shuffling the lineup - Gruezo out, Niko in, Akapo back in and Benji in for 'Grino, Judd at the 9 :-(. Marie in for Costa. I'm guessing that this is partly about lineup rotation because we play again on Wednesday.

As Tyff pointed out, the spoons I’m thinking of are used for eating ice cream at bridal showers and such. So, pretty small…

Yeah, I just added that part about lineup rotation due to upcoming game(s). A little unusual to play more of an "alternate" lineup to start the 3-games though vs. "A lineup" / B lineup / A lineup. But maybe some guys had good weeks training and he wants to try some new faces.

I use Fotmob a lot nowadays, and one nice feature is that they show all the suspensions and injuries. There is a huge list of injuries, and they show Gruezo as being on a red card suspension. I don’t even remember his getting a red card…
