Getting started tonight with the game thread in part as a reminder that the match is Sunday night, not Saturday. It will be the first of three straight home matches for the Rapids. Given the deflating nature of the previous two matches for the Rapids, it seems that it would be important for them to not only win, but do it in such way that it's not in doubt the last 15 minutes or so. I would bet that Price, Acosta and Kaye start in the midfield with Barrios up top with perhaps Lewis. Will Fraser stick with 3 in the back line as he has recenlty? If so, Galván is likely to be one of the wing backs.
I think I’d prefer Esteves in the back and slow Galvan to move upfield into the front 3. He’s so lethal up top, and if he doesn’t have to drop back and cover its even better. I know Esteves had a rougher showing the other night, but then again, so too did most of the team
Yes to getting Galván farther forward and with fewer defensive responsibilities. I would to see him with more opportunities to get quality shots on goal in addition to his left footed services - which his teammates need to figure out how to get on the end of.
FYI there are no players listed on the media notes injury report as Out or Questionable. (I’m on a trip for the next week so I will likely not see either of the next two games)
So we'll see Namli in the XI? On a serious note, I hope that Rubio is 100% With another 3 game week coming up the Rapids need all hands on deck.
Looking forward to Sunday night, the Rapids can’t do worse than the Buffs…. Sigh. Actually I’m predicting Rapids win 3-0.
Yesterday's results are making things interesting. Seattle's loss to RSL puts SKC in first place on 46 points (Seattle is on 45 but with a game in hand.) A Rapids win gets them level on points with SKC but behind them on Goal Differential.
Good feeling about this game. The loss-tie from last week still has to smart. I’ll say 2-0 win with Lewis and Kaye scoring.
Namli sighting in the pregame walk from the parking lot to the locker room Walking in with Trusty. Wonder if he sees some minutes tonight!

Looks like a really attacking minded lineup going into the game tonight. Will be fun to see what Acosta, Kaye, and Price can do in the midfield tonight with Galvan, Barrios, and Lewis up in front of them
No idea how this one will go. We've not been consistent enough recently, and I don't know anything about any of Vancouver's players.
In the stands. Feels a bit like a sluggish start. Can’t put my finger on it. Have had some decent chances. Possession seems poor. Feels like one we should win comfortably if this team is what we believe it is.
Disagree. Except for the goal, which is obviously a big contribution, Wilson has been lousy. Distribution, supposedly his strong point, has been all over the place.
It's really disappointing to give another lead away. We've been by far the better team, but if/when we get the lead back we have got to keep our focus.
Esteves is very active. Has a ton of pace, but a VERY heavy touch. He’s lost several balls and passes just collecting poorly. That breakaway the latest example. Pace for days but heavy touch.
I love Galvan’s game more and more, the more we see of him. Wish he could settle down the hot headed, stupid fouls. He’s mercurial. But he’s electric with the ball.
