Former Barcelona manager Louis Van Gaal has been linked with the soon to be vacant managers position at Fulham. The Dutchman is the latest name to be connected with the West London club, who are due to part company with Jean Tigana when the season finishes. The reports say that van Gaal, who was sacked by Barcelona earlier this year, has alerted Fulham to his interest in the position. He joins George Burley, Alan Pardew, David O'Leary and Gianluca Vialli in being linked with the job. Van Gaal's reputation has diminished following his nightmare spell at the Nou Camp and it has been believed that Fulham are looking for a young British manager.
Oh, thats a good one. LvG to Fulham. Because Tigana's ego wasn't big enough? Let's see, LvG: left Barca in disgrace; failed to qualify Holland for the World Cup. Fulham: have managed to stay in the EPL while being homeless, but only way to Europe (again) would be InterToto. Looking for a way to cut the wage bill and refurbish/build a stadium. A perfect marriage, if you are a Chelsea/Arsenal/Tottenham/QPR fan. Tony
So if this happens, will Fulham have to replace their overpayed French contingent with an overpaid Dutch group?
yes... it is all in the little book... They are also going to build a new stadium in Den Hague, and take the ferry across to EPL matches. Make it easier on everyone involved.
