Valencia signs Manuel Fernandes

Hes only backup. Miguel or Caneira, obvious choice really.

 

Yeah, we have one LB right now, and he may well be too overworked.

 

Miguel is a RB.

Caneira played LB at Sporting and does so when he gets the call up for Portugal as well.

 

If he is more comfortable at LB then i would prefer him playing there instead of Moretti. I just remember him during 04/05 as a RB but if you say he played LB at Sporting so thats probably where he is more suited.

 

Yeah, played LB for Sporting last year and before he was transfered to Valencia. Also plays that position for Portugal.

Personally, I think hes only a slightly above average LB.

Well Moretti can be distinctly average at times too.

 

That's true, but at the same time, we need depth....and Moretti needs a rest, are we going to call up a reserve player?

 

The reserve kid we have is Cerra and i watched him play last season agaisnt Athletic Bilbao, he looked strong when clearing the ball or maybe delivering a cross, but when it came to one on ones with the attacker, he was always second best.

 

David Cerrajeria...a rotation is necessary there because a LB injury would be pretty bad at ths point. Not to mention, we haven't given Moretti a rest.
