WTF IS HAPPENING??? Paciencia for Frankfurt and... Saved by Kepa!!!! ❌ We have the chance to win it now!
I feel that this old geezer has earned the right to start the final, not to mention that it's against his old club, the one he may go to work for. But if Emery opts for Leno, then we'll just have to say "win one for the gipper"
Unless Cech is hurt, he starts. Doing anything else would completely lose the team. It's genuinely a fireable offense, even if I think Leno is the better keeper.
Honestly, the whole time I was blindly thinking (should we advance) that Leno should start the final. But it makes total sense now (with Chelsea as the opponent) to let Cech finish the campaign.
Glad to see at least a few of you agree with me about Cech. I just heard that UEFA is only allocating 6000 tickets per club... that's a shame. Maybe they'll revise that. I mean the stadium seats 68000 so couldn't they spare a few more?!
Let Petr Cech GO OUT A WINNER!!! I agree, even though I have not been able to watch every match in every competition (because of these goddamn paywalls), I say since Cech started it, let him finish it!!!
I know that, low and behold, Paul Hardcastle will be watching, whether it be in Baku, or on TV, you know he'll be watching. Well, it looks like I might have to avoid listening to Paul's material until after the match, as it would reflect conflict of interest on my part to listen to it.
You mean THIS ONE??? Other than the away navy blue shirt, in which I ended up selling (I needed the money), this is probably the best of the bunch, it sure as hell beats that pukey black/red GK kit, in which I also sold, we'll see what adidas comes up with for this season, COYF'n'G!!!
Just listened to tonight's BBC Football Daily podcast and all 3 pundits gave us an edge over Chelsea in the final, and beyond.
Isn't it time for our next thread for Sunday's away match vs. Burnley, take it away @GunnerJacket !!! You do the honors!!! The floor's yours!!! COYF'n'G!!!
Over the courses of their careers, they are about average. This season they've been running extremely hot. Is it that much of a stretch of your imagination to think there might be some small element of luck involved? (Before any stats nerds jump on me, I know the proper term is 'variance', not 'luck.')
Chelsea have a friendly in Boston against the Revolution 3 days before the final in Baku. That is terrible scheduling.
Thanks. When you do that, the best way of notifying everyone (OK OK "everyone" means me!) is to put a heads-up link in the last MD thread.
