    Valencia fans: Juan Mata

How good has Mata been this season? Not season much of Valencia but last year he did well and big things are expected of him. How good do you think he can be? Next Valencia star?

I'm not a Valencia fan but I've watched most of their matches this season. IMO his form this year has not been as good as last seasons which was a breakout year for him. Not only have his numbers gone down, especially in assists, but he just hasn't looked as lethal in attack. Especially in front of goal where at times I've seen him miss easy chances he should have scored.

I think Valencia will keep him and he's still young with lots of potential.

    Transfers Out:
David Villa (Barcelona) - 40 Million Euros
David Siva (Manchester City) - 30 Million Euros
Nikola Zigic (Birmingham City) - 7 Million Euros

    Transfers In:
Roberto Soldado (Getafe) - 10 Million Euros
    Ricardo Costa (Lille) - Free
Alberto 'Tino' Costa (Montpellier) - 6.5 Million Euros
Mehmet Topal (Galatasaray) - 5 Million Euros
    Sofiane Feghouli (Grenoble) - Free

Based on checks with www.uefa.com, I think these are the major moves in the offseason. Will try to keep updated as the 'silly season' continues.

there's an interview on valenciacf.com with mata that leaves me with the impression that he'll be around next season.

I'm guessing next season it might look like this if the transfers stay the same:

    -------------Cesar
    Bruno-Dealbert-Alexis-Mathieu
    ------Marchena--Banega
    --Chori------Costa------Mata
    -------------Soldado

It looks good line up, but, I gues new sign Topal will take DM position from Marchena or Banega....

You're right. Marchena will probably be moved back to CB for Alexis and Topal as DM with Banega. Ricardo could start as CB as well.

    It's hard to tell.

Might be living in the past but I am still big on Miguel, Baraja, Vicente & Joaquin! Pablo Hernandez was bright too and Dominguez still has yet to live up to CSKA time. There are options.

They were all mostly bench players last season. Joaquin started some matches though.

Pablo Hernandez lost his spot to Joaquin and Dominguez as the season went on but yeah he's also a good player. Dominguez just didn't get a lot of continuity, he joined them midseason and only became a starter later on in the season. I think he'll feature a lot more next season. He can also play in the middle behing Soldado.
