Looks like Carlos could be taking a page from Lothar's book and head off from MLS in search of coaching the Col. national team. If Carlos gets the job as national coach, it should open the door for future " quality " players to come to MLS...hopefully with Carlos in Columbia his input could spell the end of troubling acquisitions like Valencia, Comas, Guido, etc...

Here are some quotes from a recent interview with Carlos.....

Former Colombia international Carlos Valderrama revealed he would like to become coach of the his national team: "My objective is to be coach of the Colombian team. I enjoy a challenge, but one cannot reach this post without adequate preparation and credentials. I have to prepare myself for this, I have to get myself qualified, and I'm going to do it when I stop playing."
