Anthony Martial scores his 50th Premier League goal for Manchester United 🔥 pic.twitter.com/iHwDVEvcoN— B/R Football (@brfootball) July 13, 2020 First United player to score in 5 consecutive gms at OT since RvP btw...
He most definitely has been rejuvenated and is having arguably his best season with the club (despite missing some time due to injury). Getting his jersey back and playing under a manager who actually believes in him surely are contributing factors. Above all else however, it's clear to see how his game has evolved and I, for one, am really excited about what the future holds (provided that injuries don't get in the way).
In 2019/2020, Anthony Martial had the best PL season of his career so far by:• shots (80)• penalty area shots (50)• shots on target (40)• goals + assists (23)• goals (17)• xG (13.24)• = assists (6)Worn the no. 9 well this season. 🙌🇫🇷 pic.twitter.com/EaEwvOsPeE— Statman Dave (@StatmanDave) July 26, 2020 Very happy with and for him after what he's done this season. Really has stepped it up a notch, taking his game to a whole new level (in a position we almost gave up on him). He's become such an important player for us as well after he returned from his time on the sidelines.. My hope now is that he's just getting started, as I'm looking for even bigger and better things from him next season.
Aside from Bruno, my top player of the season. But he is my current favorite player so I might be biased. On a related note, isn’t it nice to be talking about attacking players as our POTY?
I rate Tony's performance this year as probably our best overall. My POTY would go to Rashford (for the 6 week period where he was unplayable and we had no other option in attack), but Tony was immense this year. Vital to the team in a way that I'd not seen coming from him. Of particular note to me this year was his catalogue of goals. He did everything. Header, left foot, right foot, curler, rocket, chip and the side foot. He can do it all.
Martial has been nominated for the July PotM award. You can go vote for him in the link below. Bringing the heat 😎🔥@AnthonyMartial is among the nominees for the #PL's July Player of the Month award 👏#MUFC— Manchester United (@ManUtd) July 29, 2020
Tony's superb banger vs B'Mouth has won him United's Goal of the Month for July. It gets better every time you see it 🤩🔥 @AnthonyMartial's red-hot strike against Bournemouth is our July Goal of the Month winner! 👏#MUFC @OfficialPES pic.twitter.com/CymajnxXjs— Manchester United (@ManUtd) August 3, 2020
Absolutely LOVED hearing Ole's claim that Martial was begging him to be sent on yesterday vs LASK and that he guaranteed he'd score. He wants to be the club's top scorer outright for this season. Also appreciate how he and Rash are having this competition to be top scorer (with apparently Tony pointing to Rash after he scored). Martial is a player riding really high right now and it shows in his attitude and general play.
https://www.manchestereveningnews.c...-news/man-utd-news-solskjaer-martial-18723831 So in one breath, Scholes basically claims that Martial is not good enough to be a 9 for United and we should go for Kane. And in the next he's very generous in his praise of him. How interesting. In all seriousness though, I honestly do not understand how one can find fault in Martial's performance this season. He's the club's top scorer, despite having missed some time with injury early on, he's improved him play to the point he's become a very effective CF. Not sure what more could be asked of him (except that he keeps working hard to improve even more next season).
Who cares?! Tony is my current fav United player and has been for a few years. Guy had to dig himself out of the grave Mourinho put him in. Is thriving and gelling with the guy that they wouldn’t say this stuff about (because he is an English lion) in Rashford. Raised his game another notch when Bruno arrived. These old heads feel like their opinion on United matters are the authoritative view. Pish to all that. Tony Martial came from France Our English exes said he had no chance 50 million down the drain Tony Martial scores again
Scholes an atg as a player, but poor as a pundit imo. I liked the goal Tony M scored Wed as it was the kind of boring centerforward goal we haven't seen enough of in the team but that he has been producing recently - find a way through the middle and scuff it under the goal keeper. Proper #9 goal. All this and worldies too
Relative to smashing it in the top corner from outside the box it was _kinda_ boring Point was, he was central and closer then the pen spot - a true #9 goal.
High praise from the highest authority. When you know, you know. Robin van Persie: "I think Martial is a world class player." #mulive [bt]— utdreport (@utdreport) August 10, 2020 Simple as.
A bit of good news at least, with Martial being selected back in the French national team. Didier Deschamps: "Since the World Cup, three or four times he [Martial] was due to be part of our squad, for various different reasons it didn't happen - with what he has been doing since last season - now he is back in the squad." #mulive [@GFFN]— utdreport (@utdreport) August 27, 2020

https://breakingthelines.com/player-analysis/player-analysis-anthony-martial/ Struggled a bit so far, amid the team's poor start prior to the intl break and his ban hasn't helped but Martial has made huge strides as a 9 this past year. Still very much back him to have a big season and can see him getting rolling soon.
https://utdreport.co.uk/2020/10/27/...s-to-show-everybody-the-real-anthony-martial/ Still confident despite the early season setbacks. And as stated, he just needs to get that first goal monkey off his back to get his season truly going.
He cannot go back to the left wing. If he does, just sell him to PSG to replace Neymar. Im surprised no one has commented on Tony thus far. Its been a bad start, mainly stemming from the 3 game ban. Then when he gets back into the team, he's forced out left because quite frankly, Cavani is a better no. 9 [not unexpected]. His 3 games or so on the left have been his worst games in the last 13 or 14 months. Taking away the bad misses, his general play has been poor. We have a lot of issues to worry about, but if Martial [and Rashford] cant find some consistency soon, Tony may be another problem to deal with.
