For what it's worth, the schedule for the Ute pointy-ball team (you know that other team that plays in Rice-Eccles) was released this afternoon. I bring it up because they've had to move RSL games around in the schedule a few times in the past. This year the only date they both have a home game is Oct 18th and RSL should hopefully be out in Sandy by then. For those of us who follow both teams, the Ute game against CSU that day is at noon and the RSL game at 7PM making it feasible to catch both games for a long day of 'football' (both types) action.
What do I need to do between now and then to talk my wife into letting me do both games.... I will have both tickets.
So RSL is playing Dallas that day. Tough game. Are you sure you want to risk watching both of your teams lose on the same day? Go Cougars!
Not that different from RSL fans getting excited to beat Colorado. Shouldn't we really set our goals higher than beating another sub-par team (ducking and covering)?
A better Saturday of both types of "football" can be seen on the 20th of September. Watch BYU crush Wyoming and RSL hopefully beat the Goats.
Yeah, I love watching BYU go to the mighty Las Vegas Bowl and losing in the first round of the NCAA tourney every year. Is Ellinger on the coaching staff?
BYU v Utah smack. The surest sign that winter is over. Love it. I did have a witty retort prepared about the Utes in a bowl game that no one remembers, a berth in the mighty CBI tournament, and the liklihood of Fernando Clavijo being on their coaching staff, but I couldn't quite figure out the phraseology and structure...
Yes, going to the Poinsettia Bowl or Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl and losing in the second round of the CBI tournament is much more prestigious. WTF is the CBI tournament? I guess I don't have much room to talk this year either. My Wolverines laid the biggest egg of all to start the season. At least they sent Lloyd Carr out a winner and beat Florida and their wanker of a coach.
Teams that have had winning seasons within recent memory. Sorry, sort of sucks being both a Wildcat and now an Aggie in terms of sports.
