From the US, the streaming services are HBO Max in English and Peacock in Spanish, plus TNT, TruTV, and Universo on TV. I think all of those will be geo-blocked, but a VPN is your friend.
Joseph is a winger/inside forward as are Thompson, Rodman and Wilson. Calling Rodman a wingback is a stretch. Are they identical? No, but they all thrive in very similar game states.
You keep saying what is not good enough or how somebody else is wrong, but you don't present what is good. You also present what your ideal is which is different form what exists. Why don't you present your ideal from what Hayes has picked.
You can find links to a lot of US TV channels here: https://thetvapp.to/ A VPN is not required, but the quality is not the best.
I don't think I said "wrong" or "good enough". If I did, my mistake. it is what it is. For fun I asked ChatGPT who the best target #9s were in the NWSL. Before answering, this was the reply If you’re talking about true “target #9s” in the National Women's Soccer League—players who can lead the line, play with their back to goal, occupy center-backs, and finish in the box—the pool is smaller than general forwards because a lot of NWSL attackers are hybrid wingers/inside forwards. The only American who comes up is Ashley Hatch. I am not endorsing Hatch, but I agree wholeheartedly with the opening paragraph. There are reasons for this and they are embedded in the roots of the Women's game in the USA. Ultimately, the US system disproportionally rewards a certain"type" of player and as a result we produce a large amount of them. Speed is one of the more obvious assets to see in a young player and it is also one of the easiest skill sets to deploy in youth and College soccer.
I wasn't literally saying you say that. But you very often offer player or lineup critiques, particularly when it comes to the posters here, but very seldom offer solutions. And rather than going to ChatGPT to get what somebody else things is an answer, can you provide your own answer?
Interesting that Wesley is getting the start. And G Thompson - must be on the left, though I think I heard Hayes say she wants to figure out who is best on left to pair with Fox on the right.
Pretty cool entrance Back in the Bay! pic.twitter.com/FAd2xmbONp— U.S. Women's National Soccer Team (@USWNT) April 11, 2026
Just past the first 15 minutes and seems fairly even. So far, the Girma/Wesley pairing seems to be working well.
Not only was the backpass poor it was totally unnecessary, I'll never understand why so many teams force themselves to use the "play out of the back" formula when, if it is not executed perfectly it produces good to great chances for the other team and it really does not have any positives for the team trying to do it. While I do not advocate for the "kick it long and go get it" that seems to me to be a better and safer formula for playing soccer. Ifeel about playing out of the back the same way Arnold Palmer did when he was having driving troubles but kept using his driver off the tee, "If I'm going to be in trouble anyway I would rather be in trouble way down there. I actually feel that getting the ball well into the midfield as quickly as practical and then building from there is the best general strategy. At least when you give up the ball it is not close to your goal. I pretty much blame Spain for the prevalence of "build out of the back" over use in women's soccer and even men's as well, But I've got news for all the teams playing out of the back, YOU AIN'T SPAIN.
I'm watching on TNT and I have full commentary coming through but, so far, nothing has been said that has any real meaning and VERY little is even being motioned about the match itself. But we are getting a history lesson, of sorts.
