I have never though to equate Foudy and Lalas but it seems to be a good comparison as they are both fairly intelligent people that spout nonsense when they talk. But the USA LOVES those kind of people.
The funny thing was that it wasn't until I returned to this thread that I realized that I posted here instead of one of the MLS boards.
Wilson, Rodman, G Thompson, and Davidson coming on. Reale, Sams, Sentnor and not sure who Rodman is coming on for.
Play finally stops... G Thompson, Davidson, Rodman and Wilson for Reale, Moultrie, Sears and Sonnett Espresso in Seattle
I just noticed that PTJ does a little "dance" as she sets to handle a dangerous situation. That is she does not set her feet and the way she prepares for a shot means that she can be just a fraction faster than she would be if she set her feet solidly. That is a good sign for making saves.
Final United States of America 0 Japan 1 Game 3 is the deciding match. I'm fine with that being the last match in Seattle although it was nice to see natural grass for the World Cup.
Full time thoughts Hutton was just so good all match. Sentnor is not yet ready to play v. a team of Japan's level. There was a serious change in attitude with the 4 subs were made at the 60 minute mark. Davidson was so good coming on; positioning, tackling, winning the ball, passing, decision making...all of it. Joseph needs more time on the pitch. She looked fairly good, but not enough time to make an impact. Prior to the goal, the team was just stagnate. They need to do better. Did I say how good Hutton was. So good that Japan played around her for the second half. Overall, disappointing. Should not have given up the goal, and should have scored multiple. Despite the Hamano goal, I think Hutton was POTM.
