    I do not know about anyone else but something seems a bit wrong in this match. I don't know what but I think it may be that there are many too many little errors for these two teams. Mostly the errors do not result in anything but they kill attacks and turn the ball over in the middle third of the field.

    I hope those go away in the 2nd half.

    First half comments:

    Back 4 look really good, Fox in particular. They doing well both at cutting out passes as well as recovery, as well as covering for another.
    Coffey looking good both covering back as well as getting forward.
    Rodman looking off form.
    Wilson is looking decent, but also looks a bit rusty. More in her passing decisions, but she does look lively.
    Japan do not look like they can get a decent attack going. and that seems to be as much of the US closing down as to any fitness concerns.
    Dickey looks very calm and comfortable at the back.

    Overall, we look better than Japan just about everywhere. Need to get another goal, though.

    Just seeing the replay on the set piece goal. Multiple parts to that which look like it was right off the training ground.

    I noticed that, but it seems more along the lines of two highly skilled teams than poor play on the US part. There is the errant touch or miscommunication here and there, but errors are more about being adventurous than being forced into mistakes. That said, I think both A Thompson and Rodman have been underwhelming today.

    Japan don’t look like their usually patient selves, they seem instead to want to run n gun with US & that’s been an big error on their part

    I think this is another match in which G Thompson is playing herself on to the team, and maybe even in to the starting lineup.

    In your sig I noticed the quote, "Live fast, die young - that's my motto. - spejic" but that is incomplete from the original, "Live fast, die young leave a beautiful corpse." I guess I failed in my life because I only got one out of three of those. The "Live fast" part was easy but I have totally failed to "die young" and the "leave a beautiful corpse" is totally out of the question.
    The USA gets another and now twice I have been typing a totally off topic post when the USA scores. Maybe I should simply type a bunch of meaningless garbage so the USA can score 5 or 6 more. ;) :D
