Id be surprised if u see much field exposure for the new call ups. First Ellis is a big believer in experience. Second, it's pretty standard on the NT regardless of the coach to let players get used to the speed of play in practice before u cap them. So, u might get cameos from players who have been here before but I doubt any of them get major time. Also, after the Brasilia Tourney last year, I doubt anyone wants Brazil coming here and making a statement. So, the Victory Tour goes on.
And then you have retiring players who will need some minutes for a proper send-off. Camp is short so it would be tough to adapt for new players anyway. I see some chance for players coming straight from playing in European leagues, though I might be over-optimistic.
Haven't seen this posted anywhere so here is the Brazil roster: Barbara Micheline Mount Barbosa - goalkeeper (Botafogo-PB) Luciana Maria Dionizio - goalkeeper (Rio Preto) Monica Hickmann Alves - defender (Flamengo-RJ) Raffaele Leone Carvalho Souza - defender (America-MG) Erika Cristiano dos Santos - defender (Paris St Germain) Fabiana da Silva Simões - Side (Adeco-SP) Poliana Barbosa de Medeiros - Side (Umf St. Jarnan Football Club) Rilany Aguiar da Silva - Side (Santos-SP) Tamires Cassia Dias Gomes - Side (Fortuna Hjorring) Andressa Alves da Silva - Midfield (Montpellier HSC) Andressa Cavalari Machry - Midfield (Tiradentes-PI) Beatriz Vaz e Silva - Midfield (São José-SP) Marta Vieira da Silva - Midfield (FC Rosengard) Miraildes Maciel Mota (Ant) - Midfield (São José-SP) Thaísa de Moraes Rosa Moreno - Midfield (America-MG) Beatriz Zaneratto John - Forward (Hyundai Steel Red Angels) Cristiane - Forward (Paris St Germain) Gabriela Zanotti Demoner - Forward (Santos-SP) Rafaela Miranda Travalão - Forward (Flamengo-RJ) Raquel Fernandes dos Santos - Forward (Botafogo-PB) Looks like they'll be without Formiga which is disappointing. Though having Marta is something to look forward to after she didn't attend the last time Brazil played in the US.
I just hope we get through these two games without someone getting tossed. Don't forget what happened the last time we played Brazil in the US.
Pretty much a full strength Brazil side. The same side who drew and beat the U.S. last December. Should be a good challenge. Then again they were uninspired during the World Cup. The incentive is surely there for Brazil now with Rio just around the corner.
Wouldn't it be fun to see the US use this game to get experience for a lot of the new players in camp? A little payback to Brazil.
From what I saw during the practice session: Alex, Carli Pinoe, Christen, Morgan, Crystal Kling, Becky, JJ, Kelley Hope But, as always, what the H do I know. 9 hours 9 minutes........not that I'm counting.
Not sure I agree with this as it is missing Boxx. I'm 98% sure she is going to start and will come off at the 50 or 55 minute mark to get the standing ovation
Once again Im disappointed that the NT didnt consider the venue when picking the roster. Wouldnt this have been the perfect time to give Yanez or Barnes a look? U could throw Winters in there except Australia is very far away.
They should start Boxx. It's her last game. Dunn needs experience, Heath will be sacrificed for her in the starting line up at right midfield.
Boxx and Formiga should have a moment. The two of them have been going at each other in the midfield forever.

Surprised to see O'Hara and Dunn starting over Heath and Krieger. Maybe to see if they fit bubble wise on small Olympic roster?
