Got an e-mail today offering tickets for the match in Guatemala for $42 a piece plus $10 processing and shipping fee! I'm curious, what is the economy like in Guatemala? The price seems a bit steep. Which seems more likely: our Fed jacking up the ticket price on us to make a few extra bucks or the Guatemalan Fed sticking it to the Yanks?
As someone who is going to Guatemala to see that game, WTF is that! Just because I'm traveling to Guatemala, doesn't mean I have a lot of money to throw around!
I thought the same thing. When I was reading the offer, I said to myself "Hmmm, wonder how much cheaper than the US-Mex game these tix are bc its in Guat." Then the bastards showed their true colors.
I've gone to Guatemalan national team games and the tickets have always been $30. $52 is a rip off. I'm going to try to find out today how much tickets will cost here in Guate and when they are going on sale. Will post any info that I get.
Who knows, they probably have to pay for the whole block of tix even though there will only be a couple hundred (if we are lucky) fans there...
