Like Arthur Dent lying in front of the bulldozer that's supposed to be knocking down his home, one Inferno member does not believe in change.

Is that a captain's armband that I see on his arm? This dude has gone way overboard with the outfit.

I didn't ask Kennedy specifically about the reasoning behind the black armband, but I do know his father passed away recently.

To clarify the reason for the black armband, I'm wearing it in memory of my dad. He passed away the day of the home opener, March 30 after a long battle against small-cell lung cancer. I first decided to wear the armband for the Chicago Fire game, which was on Father's Day. The first FC Dallas home game I came to PHP for was an Open Cup game back in 2005, which was against Chicago, and I brought my dad to the game with me. I also brought my dad out to the 2006 home opener vs. Chicago as well as I brought him to last season's home game against the Fire. The game on Father's Day was the first FC Dallas/Chicago game in which my dad wasn't there with me and the first Father's Day since his death.
