I think the credit will go to Torres for the goal.

    Replay shows Beasley was onside.

Looks like both teams with legit goals called back tonight.

Bo "more aggro than we've ever seen him" and he's thrown out with a bad foul on Beasley.

that was some poor refereeing. I only saw from the 43rd minute on ......... but they missed a clear handball in the box by Califf in the 45th minute and Beasley was 2 or 3 yards onside on the goal that was called back.

    RE: The reffing

The ref was Gus St. Silva, on of the many USSF refs who are barely qualified to ref a U-10 match.

That game started resembling ManU-Arse with the uni colors and all the pushing at the end.

Max Bretos needs to never announce again.

Wtf did he mean by Agro? Bo was getting into agriculture? Bo smokes the Herb? Maybe the Chronic was why he was playing so violently.

All in all a very exciting game.

    The ref was fine.

    The linesman was a tard.

  20. Woo-Hoo!

When I read we where up 3-0, thought it was over. I got nervous towards the end.

Thanks for the PBP, I think next best thing to being there or watching it on TV is to log into BS and 'watch a whole game in like 5 minutes!!

for the record... i think the non-call on the handball was a good call

i thought it just went right into him and would have hit his side anyways

as for the call on the gals disallowed goal... i have no idea... the camera angle didn't show anything and there was no view from the referee's angle (he was on the side of the goal looking towards the camera)

all in all... the good guys won

great game... great win... now give us the *#*#*#*#ing final

No way we get the final if NY makes it.

i'd have to imagine that it would make it more likely for us to get it

giants stadium costs a shitload to rent for one game... it's plastic and their other options aren't great (no fsw for them and they are hosting in some god forsaken place)

whereas we have soldier field and have drawn well there for open cup finals

I agree. I thought the ref was fine in general, with a few exceptions. I didn't see the first half bit where the galaxy had a goal ruled out, but Beasley's 2nd was a goal, dammit. Also, he had a couple chances to send Bo off before he did, and it would have prevented him from possibly injuring Beasley like that. The ref's there to protect the players, and Bo was out for bones, man...scary...

WHAT A GREAT GAME! Not for the faint-hearted, though. It was a classic cup game, and a great advertisement for the USOC getting more notice. It was like watching the ManUtd-Arsenhole game again, except with 5 goals! Moreno's goal was quite well taken, but our 3 (well, 4) were great, too. I love that Ruiz celebrated Torres' goal when all he did was flop onto his backside. Favorite Ruiz moment: long ball from Galaxy half...camera pans too slowely...when it catches up, we see Ruiz lying on the turf under big Jimma. That's a way Jim!

Do you think Sarachan was giving a message to the boys by waiting until stoppage time to make a sub?

MOTM: Chris Armas, again and always.

Chris Armas??? Man of the Match?? are you nuts?? after Beasley and ralph basically ran like a hot knife through butter for what was essentially 4 goals, you would give it to Chris Armas?? LOL and that ball at the end of the first half was a penalty. I'm a DC fan, not a Chicago fan, so i am certainly not biased (as you aren't either i'm sure), but if you watch the play again, the defender extended his elbow away from his body in order to make sure the ball didn't get through. that's a penalty ....... plain and simple. and yes, the Beasley goal that was called back was pure rubbish. He was onside by at least 2 yards!
