FYI... One of the 2 AL Playoff series will start on October 3rd. The team with the best record gets to choose whether they open on Oct 3rd or 4th. So there is a chance that the Sox will be playing that evening...

Definately, I hope the large number in all of the pubs/bars whatever they are will really open up all the management to actually want to show soccer in their respective businesses (if they don't already). hopefully the atmosphere there would attract the regulars or passerby's to the revs
despite the US loss to Argentina in CA...we had so many people who were there for baseball or just dinner watching the game and loving the atmosphere we had between us and the Argentinians there, this viewing should easily do better (since the list is about triple the numbers we had)
If that's the case I'll be watching the Revs win the open cup on Tivo at about 1am while I go to bed. I was worried about that potential conflict, but watch the Red Sox stumble their way to a 3-0 sweep at the hands of their opponent will probably get priority.
