Well, I'm sure they aren't the highest earners. They are just overpaid.

If capology is to be believed they are like the 13th and 16th highest paid players in the squad. Not sure how accurate that is. But it probably means for a team looking to shed salary, its easier to shed guys who are early 20s, relatively cheap, and not in the plans than older mor expensive players not in the plans

Younger players often fetch decent transfer fees that then can be reinvested into the team.

He won't survive Scottish league. Should find something less physical.

I’d even think a slight Scottish breeze might be too physical for him honestly

It's really not that physical, especially if you play for Celtic or Rangers.

In the CIES study the SPL was 25th in distance covered per team, per match and 28th in terms of high intensity distance run per match.

I'm not sure they can move either. Reyna doesn't play, and they plan on shrinking the squad, so it's an easy $2M savings or whatever if they can move him.

Scally they have to replace, but he's gone from young, affordable guy who has upside to a defense-only FB who is a bit pricier than most would like for that.

I was wondering why Aidan wasn't part of our U20 CONCACAF Championships team. Another ball in the hopper..............

I suspect Eyestone will be in the first team squad or out on loan.

Eyestone played only two games for the reserves last year.
He's been fully a first team backup.

Is that what we want for a 20 year old developing keeper? No, not really.

....................and he's unlikely to overtake Kelleher as the #1.

We're in Kochen territory with Eyestone. It would be great if they loaned Eyestone out, for game time. We'll see.
Easier said than done as we found out during the Slonina saga.

Anyway, a year with Brentford U21s is a good opportunity for 18 year old Stokes.

More confirmation but not ideal unless there’s a move for Eyestone where he can get playing time.

Middles’merica? The 4th borough? USBoro? United State of Middlesborough?

Arfsten, Berhalter, and Morris. All with some Columbus ties. Could be interesting.

I wonder what Boro's plan is for Berhalter, especially has Morris had a good end of season run with them this spring. Are they to compete with each other or to compliment one another?

I'd assume they play as either:
    a) dual pivots in a 4231
    b) Morris as the 6 and Berhalter as the 8

I enjoyed watching Boro play last year. It'll be quite intriguing to watch them this year--especially assuming both Morris and Berhalter are regular starters (and that Morris doesn't get sold, which seems a distinct possibility).

Seems official though I’m not a fan of any young player going to Chelsea at this point.

Cryptobriefing.com describes Chelsea's transfer strategy as like "venture capital bets".
