Most are hype. I imagine most teams have had several or more. The Bayern one was sort of historic for FCD but only for Bayern. If it had been a bit earlier I imagine McKennie would have gone there instead of Schalke. Even for Bayern they got no players out of it but maybe made some money off the players with Bayern wanderlust.
I don't see the connection between Musiala's future and Tillman. If Musiala leaves Bayern would look to get another world class attacking midfielder like Florian Wirtz who they have aggressively tried to buy the last 18 months or so. Malik would have to display much more consistent aggressive attacking capabilities if he wants to become a Bayern attacker.
I would say Move: Jedi, Tillman, Turner Stay: Johnny, Weah Move if it's to Germany, stay if it's to the Premier League: Sargent
Bogert: Westerlo want to extend the contract of American winger Griffin Yow and preliminary talks have started. Clubs in the Championship, Belgium and Netherlands are keeping tabs on situation for potential transfer bid if no extension.
If teams are only interested if he’s available for a cut rate, expiring deal fee, that tells me he doesn’t have a ton of interest.
He's got another year on his contract. For those following the Belgian Pro Conference League playoffs (teams 7-12 in the regular season) he's scored 3 goals in 5 games but has been dropped from the starting X1. Anyone know why?
Peyton Miller .@TaylorTwellman on Peyton Miller:“You can tell everyone in the world there is legitimate, real interest in Peyton Miller.”He goes on to predict that Miller will get a transfer fee of $8-11 million. Checking the Jupiler's outgoing transfers, low-to-mid single-digit millions appear to be the norm for players heading to other mid-tier leagues or to the non-EPL Top-5.
Looking at Westerlo they've sold Lyle Foster for 11 mil, Lucas Stassin for 10 mil, and Nicolas Madsen for 4 mil. All other sales have been under 2 mil.
Quinn Sullivan 🇺🇸🇩🇪🇧🇩 is one of the main Candidates to replace Sem Steijn if he leaves this summer.FC Twente 🇳🇱 see Quinn as a similar profile player that can play in multiple positions & specially behind the #9Twente are not the only team after Quinn! #USMNT pic.twitter.com/AgoBsjUYpD— Edgar (@ConcacafEdgar) April 22, 2025 Edgar is hit or miss but worth monitoring since it was just announced that Steijn signed with Feyenoord yesterday. Quinn would probably be Twente's most expensive signing in over a decade but they still do well with moving players to bigger teams
I'd much rather Quinn move to the Bundesliga like Tolkin & Sands. There's a better shot he makes the WC if he succeeds there than the Eredivisie. Twente aren't even in European play. Quinn doesn't need to prove he can succeed at a level around MLS. He already has. There is a sub-sect of the base, who Edgar's among, that always wants to cuck MLS players though.
I suspect that Quinn will be out of Twente's price range. I doubt Philly will sell Sullivan this summer unless they're absolutely blown away.
They're in Europa spot or with Go Ahead Eagles winning Dutch cup are they out? Price I think is the big thing. Twente's most expensive purchase was Mark Janko back in 2010. They've spent over 5 mil on Janko, Luc Castaignos, Dusan Tadic, Leroy Fer, and Bryan Ruiz... the most recent of those were Castaignos and Tadic in 2012/13. 9 of their 10 most expensive transfers all time are more than 12 years ago with the loan exception being Manfred Ugalde in 23/24 for 4 mil. They made a couple 2 mil purchases (including Taylor Booth in the winter) but they are a free to 1.5 mil transfers. Philly I think would want 3-5 mil for Sullivan so you're looking at him being a top 3-5 purchase in the club's history. I do think Philly would accept a lower fee if a bigger sell on fee was included.
Google had them in nothing. Soccerway has them in the playoffs, w/ 4 other Dutch teams, to make the Conference League. So unlikely, & that tourney's fluff anyway. Arguably worse than the Eredivisie or MLS, on average. Not a discernible upgrade, unless you're in UCL, or at least Europa.
5th to 8th place go into a playoff for a Conference League slot (2nd qf round). Cup winners play in the Europa League.
Yeah if guys like Tolkin and Sands (and before them Scally Paredes etc) can go straight from MLS to the Bundesliga and not look out of place, there's no reason to think Quinn Sullivan can't do the same.
Looks like Richy Ledezma is going to Chivas, kind of a shame. https://t.co/nKHqTED9x3— American Ultras Talk (@usmntaut) May 2, 2025
