I think he simply wanted to go to Europe and this was where the interest was.

Or maybe with an added dash of “I’d really like it to be an English speaking country.”

FK Senica holds an interesting distinction: it's the only club in Slovakia ever to start a lineup of 11 foreign players (which happened in 2019), and the only club in UEFA to name an entire matchday squad of foreign players (in the same match).

I'm sure it's more than just Bologna. Scoring 8 goals in under 800 minutes at 18 in any league would get you looks from good teams.

I haven't been impressed. He is 24. I think that a player like Sands, would have more interest, from clubs in Europe.

According to this, the asking price for Pepi is already out of the range of Bologna. 10 million euro.

I would say $10 mil is very reasonable for Pepi.

...He has all the tools to be an elite striker and he’s the leading American goal scorer in MLS as an 18 year old.

...Furthermore, I’ll say, while people critique FC Dallas for selling their best young players. We need to know, every time FC Dallas sells someone and they’re a home run pick... that just ups the price tag on the next prospect. Clubs will realize they’re buying a Toyota rather than a Ford, and they’ll pay that extra $$ just because of Dallas’ reputation of producing quality.

This seems right. If they were able to get $8.5 million for Reynolds, $10 million (or more) for Pepi is more than reasonable.

“extremely” is a bit alarming... then again, I remember in Iraq that my knees would swell up so bad that I could stick my finger to the point of the first digit (kneeling on pavement for as long as 18-72 hours while carrying 100+ Lbs of gear on probably wasn’t the best thing for my joints). Water, Motrin, and Charlie Mike was the remedy. So, hopefully, it was just that.

i think pepi should change his first name to "brazillian", let ricardo be his middle name, pepi stays the same.

his asking price would be $25 mil and hed be at madrid by friday.

I think he’s more high floor, medium ceiling than you think. He sees the game pretty well and he has quick feet for his height. But he’s not terribly powerful. He’s not extremely pacey. He’s not Berbatov-technical. He’s not Mandzukic-athletic. He’s squarely behind Cowell as a prospect imo. This is a revised opinion btw. I thought his ceiling was higher 18 months ago.

What’s up with this stupid bra they have players wearing??

...but that seems like a more appropriate level than just jumping into the EPL.

From what I understand it’s a GPS tracker Thad also measures heart rate and energy output. This article has a good description https://gethypedsports.com/why-do-male-football-players-wear-sports-bras/

hmm after his recent hat trick and brace....(high quality goals, too, imo)

you think his ceiling is lower? theres been a lot happening with him recently....18 months is eons for an 18 year old....

if anything, his recent play has to be raising his ceiling, no?

i mean at 18 he can still develop a lot more athleticism, speed, etc....
