This is the best team we’ve seen played so far (I don’t believe in England really). We weren’t the favorite coming into this game, despite what Fox will have you believe with their three ‘expert analysts’ all picking the US to win pregame.
This doesn’t help. Musah struggles to play 90 minutes with Valencia weekly, it’s a concern I’ve had for him for a while now. McKennie isn’t fully fit. Dest struggles to play 90. Robinson looks gassed. Pulisic doesn’t look right. Our bench isn’t great though.
And we were marginal against MUCH, MUCH worse teams (Iran, seriously???). This team isn't any good, period.
Some of you people talk so much shit I find it hard to believe that you get any enjoyment from the game of soccer.
You sound like a Man United or Barca fan, settle down. Have some nuance. This team lacks goals. We struggle offensively. This isn’t a surprise. Can blame the coach, but look at the players. We don’t have anyone that is a regular goslscorer at a good level, period. Not one player. The Dutch were favorites. This result, if it holds, is not a surprise. Let’s be honest with ourselves. People got worked up saying we DoMiNaTeD a piss poor Wales team for 45 minutes, got worked up that we got a 0-0 against an oddly ultra conservative England, and beat a not bad but not great Iran. The Dutch, IMO, are better than all those teams. We’re not an elite team, simple as. Just because we’re not elite doesn’t mean we’re bad.
Yeah I don't get the negativity today. Most of the problems today just stem from who this team is. The talking heads on twitter have been very weird. Reyna and Aaronson haven't shown much. Maybe there's a reason they don't start.
Some people get extra dumb when things don't go their way and emotions take over. Like, WILDLY, British tabloid level dumb.

Credit to the Dutch for finding space, but the defending here is shockingly bad. Robinson just blind to the outside man and double-teaming in the middle. Too bad. It was a good run and this is a talented team that will be together in 2026.
