So, with all this talk about kits, I've been trying to find out players' primary numbers and I though it might be helpful to get a list going.
Some numbers like 7, 8, 10, and 22 are pretty well known.

Here are some that came off the top of my head

    1 - Howard
    3 - Bocanegra
    4 - Bradley
    6 - Cherundolo
    7 - Lewis / Beasley
    8 - Dempsey
    10 - Donovan
    20 - Twellman
    22 - Onyewu

    Guzan - #23
    Johnson - #9
Feilhaber - #5 (not sure for how long)
    Ching - #11 (hopefully Adu's sometime soon)

Not your primary guys but guys I still see around for a while except fot maybe Benny (which would be a shame)

we'll see with Altidore....he wore 17 with RBNY and in his first cap vs. South Africa, but he wore 12 with the U-20's FIFA world cup and then also he wore 14 with sweden so we'll see how it all settles

jimmy conrad #12 whenever he's available.

Also, would Dempsey make the move to #2 after Hejduk hangs them up? After all, he is Deuce.

Guzan wears 18, he had to wear 23 in Copa because Keller was there so he got first choice and got 18. In all the recent friendlies Guzan has worn 18 and seeing as Keller probably won't appear much in the future I think its safe to put Guzan as 18.

Wouldn't Dempsey get priority over him though, having 20 more caps?

I hope you're right cause I just bought a #14 Altidore jersey from OnionBag for ~$72 after shipping for the 06/07 jersey. I just hope they don't mess up the lettering or numbering. They have pre-customized 2008 jerseys for $70 plus shipping. They had #14 for Altidore on the 2008 jerseys. I doubt they have any inside knowledge, but it was enough to convince me of the number.

When are Onionbag shipping because i cant frigging wait, ordered Altidore 14 too screw it he is the future and its cool because no one in England will know who he is.

I have Dempsey and Donovan shirts and people knew them but Jozy is fresh.

I even told my mate to buy Jozy on FIFA 08 last night.

Also the new socks are up on Soccer.com, they're white with blue trim and USA on the back.

I think that's a pretty safe bet. The only other person I've seen wear #14 the past couple of years is Stollmeyer and Olsen. While Olsen could still get called up, I think it's more of a given for Jozy to be called up over Olsen. So, I would think it's safe to say that Jozy has #14 locked up (except for those occasions when Olsen gets the call as well).

    I just bought me a Olsen-14 L/S Away. Yeah for ussoccer.com clearances!

So we're sure that 14 is Jozy's prefered #? He wore it most recently, but he wears 17 with NYRB and wore 12 @ the U-20s.

Yeah but adu wears 11 for the U23 and 25 for the MNT even when ching wasn't in the team IIRC.

Altidore is 14 unless Olsen comes in, which i doubt very much and got to wear it against sweden.

if it is between 12 and 14, i think the chances are greater that altidore will wear 14 because jimmy congrad and jay demerit have been taking #12.

  24. #1 Feilhaber and Adu

Also, FYI, Onionbag has the 06/07 jerseys on sale, including the Alternate 3rd jersey. $44.99 for a blank S/S jersey, however with customization, they turn out to be $64.99, which is a few dollars cheaper than U.S. Soccer. I also believe that shipping is a bit cheaper than U.S. Soccer, so you may be saving a few bucks. Anyway, here's the link to all the USMNT jerseys.
