When I saw this thread had been bumped I was expecting the worst -- which I assumed would be Coronavirus related. Turns out it was potentially worse.

While I do not know the details, most cardiac ablations that are done are not career ending At that age. This is a likely a new finding, as most national team players even at the youth level undergo several cardiac evaluations as they come through. My guess is atrial fibrillation. This should not be career ending.
This Coronavirus may have been the best thing for many our guys’ careers: Christian Pulisic Tim Weah Antonee Robinson Zack Steffen Paul Arriola Duane Holmes Brandon Servania I’d even say Tyler Adams too.
I saw a positive quote on his Twitter from him stating the team and have been very supportive and he was looking forward to getting back to his club as soon as possible..
I was thinking along similar. I'm not sure it affects guys with longer-term injuries like Weah and Arriola that much--I'm assuming things will be more or less back to normal in 6 months when they might be back playing. I do think, though, that it helps the guys with shorter-term issues like the rest of the ones on your list. They don't have to feel like they need to rush back and can use the time to properly heal.
You know, if you come in here with actual facts and an expertise the rest of us don't have, rather than my-opinion-is-as-vauable-as-yours-so-shut-up, you're really going to muck up the vibe, man.
Sorry but my identity has been displayed so many times that I must take advantage when I can. Yep...MD
For the most part, the Coronavirus probably has helped our team more than hurt them, by giving our injury prone guys a rest... But, who is going to be hurt by such a long layoff? Josh Sargent? - maybe? Gio Reyna - maybe? I can’t think of too many of our players who have benefited from the misfortune of other player’s injuries.
Sargent's team is trash, coronavirus or not. I don't think it hurts him much to smash his head against the wall occasionally for such a dire team.
Steffen hurt his knee. I think that means that he, Weah and ARobinson are the only guys who aren't healthy at this point.
with the bund starting back up soon (and time having lost all meaning), we need an updated list. steffen is still out with his knee injury (picked up working back to action from the other knee problem), right? mckennie, adams, chandler, johnson, brooks? thumbs up? thumbs down? i havent heard about reyna, morales, sarge etc picking up social distancing related knocks...
@TimB4Last OUT Tim Weah, ankle, 3 weeks from August 20, 2022 Miles Robinson, Achilles, hopes to return in 2023 Daryl Dike, thigh, injured in August, hopes to return in October/November Keaton Parks, unknown Bill Hamid, unknown Obed Vargas, unknown Serge Ngoma, hamstring, unknown Brad Guzan, Achilles, rest of 2022 QUESTIONABLE Richie Ledezma, ankle, unknown severity/return Christian Pulisic, Achilles/knock IN Gio Reyna Weston McKennie Brooks Lennon
Really hope McKennie can loan Weah some of that wolverine blood he has. Anyone getting injured from here on out is bad news.
since it is back in vogue again -- finally -- to find someplace to get minutes at the end of the world cup cycle (as opposed to everyone goes to city and sits bench or goes on loan) -- maybe consider the related art of loafing through the last club weeks before the world tournament. there are a lot of pro-NT concepts we have forgotten as we have become more accepted in club europe. kind of like it would have been Concacaf 101 to expect for it to be a streetfight. like we are relearning all the lessons from when this was a more scrappy soccer nation more focused on the world cup than club.
Well you can be sure Gareth Bale won't be going hard in any tackles for LAFC as it gets closer to November.
Hamid is back in training, but he wouldn’t make my top ten for US keepers nowadays. I’m a fan, but his calling card is shot stopping and that’s not really there anymore. He can’t get down, I guess all the injuries have taken their toll.
Roldan is injured (sports hernia) and missed Seattle's match on Friday night. LINEUP NOTES:- 5-3-2 formation tonight- Cristian Roldan is out with left athletic pubalgia (AKA a sports hernia). The injury is not expected to be long-term. He's out tonight for rest and further evaluation. https://t.co/XkpRX8G31w— Sounders Matchday (@LIVESounders) August 20, 2022
