It's just absurd to me. The only reason I logged on at all today was to make sure there were no injuries lol, and within a half an hour of logging on our best Center Back the last half decade goes down, and we lose Aaronson lol. I'm terrified to look at Juve's and Milan's sub off's lol, but nobody's mentioned it, so I guess neither McKennie nor Pulisic got hurt too. So ridiculous, fingers crossed they're okay. I saw the Aaronson one, which worried me more, as it was non-contact, I didn't see the Richards one.

Yeah, I feel like we’re pretty much sunk if Richards is out.

Even despite that due to position scarcity ive never wanted an abstract twitter account rumor to be spot on (about Banks).

It seems prudent to open up Gregg Berhalter levels of diplomacy on him as is. That was too much of a scare for my liking.

Palace's season is over so I doubt he'll play against Arsenal.

Their domestic season is over. They've still got a European final to play.

Well, some are done already, I think: Trusty at Celtic, Tessman has been shut down at Lyon, Tillman, Reyna, & Scally & Banks in Germany. Morris in the Championship. The Dutch league finished today, so if Dest & Pepi are unscathed they are good for camp. France finishes today for Balogun & Weah.

But MLS, England, Spain, and Italy have one to go after today. 2 for some if there is a Cup match. Richards, McKennie, & Pulisic have BIG matches left.

And Bournemouth is still playing for a potential Euro spot next year. So Adams has two left to play. Tuesday, then next weekend.

We should just send choppers in when they're rolling out onto the practice fields next week, fly them back to America and hide them underneath our secret Volcano Fortress in the Cascades Region out West.

we are at the point where the boys should be faking injury if they’re not in a cup game, only halfway joking

I haven't paid close attention and don't care to look up the standings but here's my simple take and this applies to not just US players but any players likely headed to the WC.

If your team is locked into your domestic season, meaning you aren't getting relegated and you are not still in the running for a spot in a Euro league next fall then they should sit out their last game(s). In fact their coaches should just sit them. There is almost no point to playing them (ok I get there is some little incentive as the club could earn a tad more $$ by ending the season a spot higher).

    SIT THE EFF DOWN. LOL

I don’t know, seems like guys are fine. We were one of the least hit teams by injury last go around. Until now we have almost no issues.

Compare that to Japan (Mitoma, Minamino, Morita), Brazil (Rodrygo, Militao, Estevão) and others….weve been extremely fortunate.

probably due to lose someone at some point but that’s par for the course, you just hope to not lose a chunk of guys or a guy you can’t replace.

If there’s one guy who shouldn’t be sat (I totally agree others should be sat what is the point) he needs to play some games. He’s played > 70 minutes once in 2026.

We've been super fortunate about this as long as I've been watching the team. We've lost some guys to injury a few weeks prior to the tournament (Armas and Vanney in '02; Gibbs in '06; Richards in '22), but nobody who I would have been surprised to see start on the bench in the tournament anyway, even if they were healthy. Though we did lose Jozy to injury not that long into our first match in 2014, and that sort of counts.

When we say there's nothing to play for, each Premier League place is worth a few $million.

Besides that Bournemouth have a chance of a Champions League slot and Fulham a Conference League slot.

yep. folks on this board will have you know we have been the most unlucky around. It’s actually been amazing. Most of our injury luck has been during World Cup qualifiers vs the cup itself. Not ever going to be perfect and again I’m sure something will happen, but fortunate up til now.

I also recall Dolo. And depends how you see Gooch and Davis injuries from by far the most talented of our WC teams.

Herc posted on twitter today that Paraguay had 3 different guys go down this weekend and it sounded more serious than our injuries.

But the championship of the EPL may depend on the result of this game. It would be unprofessional for Palace not to go all out to win.
