Playing through an injury is bad idea… The player will end up making the injury worse and prolong the healing process. Why a staff doctor or physio wouldn’t lay down the law on that reality is a bit of a head scratcher… When you play through injuries, that injury becomes one for life… As some other posters have mentioned, we may never see the same Tyler Adams as a player again, which is very unfortunate.
If Adams says he's fit, his coach says he's fit and his medical team says he's fit you have to assume he's fit. And it was the Copa, not the Gold Cup, plus the coach's job was on the line.
Weah has a low grade hamstring injury and will be reevaluated in ten days Medical Update | Khephren Thuram and Timothy Weah ⤵️— JuventusFC 🇬🇧🇺🇸 (@juventusfcen) August 20, 2024 I’m guessing this puts his participation in September in doubt.
With Weah injured and, with our luck, probably out until October, Jedi becomes our tea light in a dark universe.
Maybe someone who watched the match can remember (about) how long it was between the time Weah became aware of his hamstring issue and the time he scored. The biggest reason to hope is that with his history, anything more than the slightest twinge should have had him raising his hand, not gritting it out until halftime, that is sitting down, not scoring. Anyway, I’ll guess that Weah misses the next two Juventus matches, and skips international duty, returning to club action right after, in mid-September.
Wolfsburg‘s USA international Kevin Paredes will miss the start of the Bundesliga season due to a foot injury. Die Wölfe begin their campaign at home against Rekordmeister Bayern on Sunday.Paredes is likely to be out until after the September international break. #WOB #USMNT— Derek Rae (@RaeComm) August 21, 2024
I’d be more worried if it were his hamstring. Maybe it ends up being a serious injury but I’m guessing something more minor.

Relatively good news on the Matt Freese injury front, considering the possible worst-case scenarios of his knee injury in Columbus look to have been avoided More here on the latest Freese injury update + what his absence means during a busy NYCFC stretch https://t.co/Y8GRY89hDB— Hudson River Blue (@HudsonRiverBlue) September 12, 2024 There was some concern Freese had a more serious injury.
According to this report, John Brooks injured his right foot in his first training session with Hertha Berlin and will be out for "several weeks".https://t.co/M7abBWpOQR— Daniel (@DanielSmith1022) September 14, 2024
