Lost season for Josh Wynder. Here's the latest news on Joshua Wynder. Sadly, he has suffered a setback in his return that would likely take him out for the reason of the season. Let's us for a quick recovery where we can see him this summer 🙏#USMNT #USYNT #SLBenfica— Zach McCabe (@zjmccabe) April 1, 2024
Its weird. Nobody in the twitterverse seems to know. He doesn't appear important enough with Benfica for them to bother telling us. Wynder is really young. He's an 05. He'd be a core piece of our U20s this summer if healthy. That seems really in question now. The U20WCQers are taking place in Mexico starting in mid-July. [If he'd had an exception season with Benfica B, he'd have been an option for the Olympics. That ship sailed a while ago.]
Another young player with injuries. Wish there was a way to compare era's to see if there are more, less or the same amount of injuries.
Cremaschi on the bench last night for Inter Miami II. So, it seems like he's close to a return. Maybe too late to make an Olympics push? He'd certainly be an option for the U20 WCQers in July.
The player I'm most concerned about right now is Walker Zimmerman. The general Internet assumption is that US Soccer is lining him up to lead the Olympic team as one of the overage callups, but he sure has been dealing with a lot of injury issues since the middle of last season.
He also had a bunch as a young player - early 20's but has been healthy until the last year or so. I'm hoping he gets back where he was or better as the younger centerbacks haven't exactly passed by where he was when he was in qualifying and the WC.
I’ve sort of been wondering if we should be looking at Trusty and McKenzie as the overage pairing for this reason. Along with the fact that coming up together with the Union they’ve actually got plenty of reps playing together. Or do we start to consider John Brooks as an overage option for the Olympics?
Che out for the season. Get well soon kid.#DTID https://t.co/7QpKyeco8N— 3rd Degree (@3rdDegreeNet) April 3, 2024

🍒 Iraola says Tyler Adams missed today's game having suffered "back spasms" during the week.Hamstring injury for Tavernier. Hopes it doesn't end his season, but will require a scan. #afcb— Tom Crocker (@TomCrockerEcho) April 6, 2024 Not his hamstring at least
Recent U17WC participant and likely U20 for this cycle, out indefinitely after labrum surgery. Matthew Corcoran undergoes successful surgery. Everyone within the club wishes him a speedy recovery. Get well soon, Matthew!📰 https://t.co/oWsozj3Gj8— Birmingham Legion FC (@bhmlegion) March 28, 2024
Uh oh. Really hope he's okay SERGINO DEST's Copa America participation is in doubt after he sustained what PSV term a "serious knee injury" Saturday. Local media report Dest won't play again this season. 🇺🇸Sending courage & positive vibes to the human highlight reel, hoping it's not as bad as feared. ❤️ pic.twitter.com/zWhri1nDp0— Men in Blazers (@MenInBlazers) April 21, 2024
Unlikely for PSV to go ahead and say serious if it’s not. Tough break for Sergino. Please avoid Macario’s doc. And tough for the Nats. He’s probably the highest above replacement player in the squad.
Agreed on your last sentence. So, better now than 2026 and missing world cup. We need to figure how to attack with a more defensive minded right back. I think this makes Gio in the midfield more critical.
I think it can definitely happen the other way around but I’m not sure that’s the case in the situation for Adams.
God damnit serginio dest is a torn acl injury I reckon that just ended the PSV transfer The only positive on this is Barcelona being on the hook for his massive wages for the final year of that contract and having the luxury of bring a free agent afterwards
