Toronto - BMO. http://www.torontosun.com/2012/02/02/toronto-to-host-qualifiers-us-friendly It merits a thread. We'll see if it does, anyway.
http://www.ussoccer.com/News/Mens-N...S-MNT-Takes-Rare-Trip-Up-North-to-Canada.aspx http://www.ussoccer.com/Teams/US-Men/Schedule-Results/2012.aspx Game at 7pm ET on a Sunday televised on NBC Sports Network. Have to imagine this will be a rather tame friendly with both teams starting the WCQ semifinal round on Friday, June 8.
In the US I would think so, but at the BMO, I doubt it. But they didn't play too dirty last time we met in the GC and I don't imagine they will this time either. Which would be my main concern with playing a "rival" (if you could call Canada that), that of injuries just before the games count for real.
They put the final of the women's Olympic qualifying tournament on there so the U-23s may get a qualifier televised on the network. Unless the senior men's team schedule another game this will be their first game on NBC sports. The Italy game is on ESPN2.
It will be interesting to see what channel has the Brazil and Scotland friendlies. Would the Brazil game not be a big way to kick things off on the NBC Sports Channel, what do you think?
