Highmark Stadium is expandable. The stands behind the goal are considered "temporary" and from what I've heard they're actually rentals. The long term goal is to remove them and replace them with permanent ones with the same angle as the main grandstands. This'll allow them to connect the two in the corner in the future if they want to expand further. The problem at the moment is they don't have the money to really do anything. The bankruptcy papers mentioned they weren't expecting to turn a profit til 2017. If they can recover the $4 million from Wilke that'll fix that, though who knows how long it'll take. The other thing is, putting aside D2 requirements, attendance just doesn't warrant an expansion. We've been in the 2,500-2,700 range the last two seasons.

If push came to shove the team can probably do it. It was rocky but they were able to figure out Highmark Stadium. I don't see it happening anytime soon though.
