I no longer like my username. Can we have it where a user can change his username one time, and one time only?
Nobody else likes you either. What a crock of crap. You can change your user name any time you want to. Tell the truth here for once: you want to change your name but keep your post count because you think it bestows status. You want to change your name, start a new ID. As for your post count, why not just grow up?
Bill, FYI. BigSoccer allows only one username per email address. I don't wish to change my email, or create a new email address just for a new BigSoccer account. I also have Premium Membership under my current username. Also, a moderator has PMed me and told me that changing usernames IS possible.
Please! I want to change my user name from Elizabeth III to just Elizabeth if it's possible. But if not, I would like to change it to Elizabeth with my maiden last name
I think that it would be a great idea if we could change our usernames if we wanted to. BA, I don't think that SoccerAndy5 was being childish. I think that he was asking a simple question. SA5, Go for it my friend.
I think it's reasonable to change once per year based on Premium Membership sign up. If it's not used within the year, it doesn't roll over to the next. Heck, Ebay allows it, but they stick an icon near the name showing you've recently changed SN's (30 days or whatever.) Maybe BS could have a 60 day codeline where the former SN automatically goes in the tagline. "formerly userx" Yellow/Red Cards would heavily affect the user's ability to change names. And yes, it is a little hard to change ID's if you're a premium member.
I know that Premium Hamatachi and Premium Ferris (formerly known as Ferris Beuller) already changed their usernames. I would also like to change my username, but MIGkiller™ is such an institution of Bigsoccer already that I'm affraid people would have troubles to recognize me.

Actually, Hamatachi created a new account for his premium membership, if I'm not mistaken. If memory serves me right, he started as simply Hamatachi, then he posted as "Super Hamatachi" and other variations of Hamatachi before he settled on "Premium". But back on topic, it is possible to change your screen name if you have a good reason. Mel Brennan was "Universal" and Zak was.... some French name. I really don't like my screen name but I've already built up a sizable fanbase at BigSoccer and I would hate to alienate the kids by rebranding myself. My cult-like following is a blessing and a curse.
I would understand if I was trying to change my username every 6 months. I'm just asking for a ONE TIME change to another name. I don't think I'm asking for a lot.
But why are you asking for it here? 1) Use PM or email 2) You're a premium member, you're asking for Customer Service, try using the Premium Member Customer Service forum, instead.
There may be others who wish to change their username, so I created a thread in which they could voice their support, if they wanted to.
Is that forum even read? Sometimes I really do wonder why there's 2 forums for basically the same meaning.
FWIW, I DID PM Huss on my request for a username change on 2/4/04. Apparently, he's on holiday and has not read my PM. With that said .... I posted this topic, in this forum, as a "suggestion" to the BigSoccer powers-that-be, that people be allowed to change usernames. That is what this forum is for. Suggestions! I have spoken publicly about this topic, in another forum, and I know of at least one other person (who has already posted HER support as well in this thread) who also wants to change her name. That's why I posted this topic, in this forum, a Suggestions forum. I want to see who else may have an interest in changing their username. Maybe, if there were others interested, a username change policy could be amended. Moderators - can we PLEASE clean up the trolling in this thread, and have a decision on my request, one way or the other? Bill Archer is trolling this thread. Trolling is not allowed per the FAQ; he merely wishes to cause problems. Thank you.
