Pre-match: USA vs Uruguay friendly 11/18/25

I won't. They're way outplaying my expectations. Not my expectation of most of them as individuals, but as a whole team, this is much more than I had expected of them.

But it's a day when everything goes well for you. Some times you have those days. Uruguay had 3 good chances and it wasn't until that bicycle right at 45 minutes that we were punished...

I was braced to take the blame, so I guess now I should take the credit. I wasn't exactly right, but I was in large measure, helped by Uruguay's being something of a mess.

 

I'm not criticizing as no one could have predicted that. I'll just the team has come a long way since Switzerland.

US were dialed in, no matter how not-great Uruguay was.

And from what I saw they were very not-great...

 

US made them look not great. Have to wonder if it's one of those meh performances to get rid of the coach.
