Given how physical Uruguay were against Mexico, Poch might be trying to protect some of his more important players who have had trouble staying healthy (like Balogun, Reyna, etc.).

No point in putting them out there to get kicked around by Uruguay for 90 minutes.....

I think that means Sergino Dest is the only field player to start twice this window, and Ricardo Pepi is the only field player available who won't start either game.

It's a near-total roster rotation. I am no longer excited about this at all. It's like Switzerland taught him nothing...

Why bother scheduling Uruguay if we're just going to rotate the roster and play about 5 third-choice options? Couldn't we find a Panama equivalent to play? Maybe invite Jordan for friendly or something?

    I’m relatively pro Poch generally.

I don’t like this 11 at all. I’d have much preferred these scrubs vs Paraguay and use the this game to test the players I think matter a lot more.

Hopefully we bring in some of the better players early and often.

Poch must be truly scared of Bielsa …

so Freeman gets in a tussle with a Paraguay guy and Poch is afraid of putting Gio out there twice to start? Either that or he wants Morris and Luna to learn a good lesson …

only player I am happy is starting is Freeman …

    Poch gunna Poch.

On one hand disappointed to not see how our better players matchup vs Uru, but let's see how the B/C team matchup.

Massive moment for all of these starters. Take advantage of it boys.

Wondering if the Para result was different, if he'd plan this differently.

Ok. Heading to my seats. Tons of Uruguay fans as expected. AO section good.

Huge NFL stadium is 1/3rd full. ...and as expected. Perfect weather though.

I'm fine running out these centerbacks. It's a position of need and the pecking order is still up in the air. Perhaps we'll get a better read on Luna, too, a player where opinions vary greatly (I personally like him).

He wants to see who can handle this increase in quality. I just wish it wasnt practically the entire 11. Maybe trade out 3-4 players and see how they handle it, but harder to tell when
    Its entire team

I never like when a replacement call-up starts.

So, congrats in advance to Timmy Tillman on his hat-trick tonight.

    I completely agree.

Let’s see if I still agree in two hours, or whether I quietly delete this post. :D

I know it’s irrelevant, but has Tolkin ever done his hair in a way that doesn’t make him look like a douchebag?

On a shor turnsround,,I am not at all surprised.

If Jefi cannot go, Tolkin is next up at LB/LWB. Uruguay are e ery bit of a top 20 team, probably top 15. And they play very aggressively. Morris, Berhalter, Luna, McKenzie,

Maybe Uruguay will stop committing fouls every time we beat them in the dribble now

    Seb…that’s why he’s here!

Is this a bad Uruguay team, or is the US so good that they’re making them look bad?
