Defitnely postives can be taken away by the USA, but if there's one villian for the USA for me it is Clark. Whetehr or not it should've been a red, a high late challenge in an intercontinental FIFA tournamnet is extremely stupid and ultimately the USA, despite getting the goal, couldn't resist Italy with only 10 men.

    Why?

because he knows that in tournaments the Refs always give the games to the Italians?

After watching this match I will say that while the US was certainly overmatched, they were NOT outmatched. That being said, a few observations:

    - Bradley made some questionable choices for subs. I don't know if I would have taken out Altidore. He was clearly able to often bring two defenders onto him and that has value, especially being a man down.
    - Clint Dempsey better learn how to hold the ball against more than one defender or pass it quickly; or get off the pitch!
    - Wasn't as bad as I feared it could be defensively.
    - Not being able to finish our chances is frustrating to no end. Don't forget that we did have several chances as a result of good passing combinations and smart movement off the ball.
    - It sucks not being able to come away with a draw.

Yeah maybe because he's too small:rolleyes:

BUt, I don't hate Rossi for his decision. He's a man, he can do whatever he wants. He wouldn't fix our problems because he's only a striker.

Oh well, a point would have been nice but this is just a shitty little non-tournament after all. The big picture is 2010.

if you're only offense is boot it to Altidore with his back to the goal you're going to struggle to score from open play.

You know what, I would favor Costa Rica against this current Italian side (knowing that Italy is missing a few players).

    He is a child.

Adu shows flashes, but he isn't a complete player by any stretch of the imagination. He is undersized and is most likely not in match shape, and yet this fools want to put him in the game thinking he is the savior??

If you dont' demand your strikers score and cap guys like Ching that don't because they run around and don't shoot well you'll struggle to score.

That's what happens when you keep players like Adu on the bench. He's talented, despite his lack of defensive abilities that guy is a game changer. With this kind of mentality that BB has, US is not gonna win anything anytime soon.

Adu should have opted for Ghana. I bet he regrets.

In the time that he has been on the pitch hes been one of if not the best players out there.

I recall him being the only one to play well against the European Champions.

This loss is worse then Costa Rica cause we were actually in it but Bob decided he'd let Lippi take control of the game in the 2nd half. Oh yea and cause Rossi scored a brace.
