So I saw a video during practice with Solo wearing extra padding on her right arm, and now it really seems like she is hurting there, although is hard to say because she always has that hard look on her face, but her clearances have been kind of poor today, so I'm wondering what's going on with Hope today...
Any idea how many players each team has used over the two matches? What was the foul that led to that FK?
Glad to see Abby scored two goals. Having said that, as she is never subbed off, what would we do if she were to suffer a long term injury between now and the World Cup? You could argue that we coped with it well enough at the 2008 Olympics, but wouldn't you rather have the peace of mind of knowing your other forward options have at least some chemistry? I can't remember a time where A-Rod, Cheney, O'Hara, or the others played together without Abby on the field. I'm all for building team cohesion, especially considering the USWNT schedule is pretty thin this year. But it won't hurt anyone, especially being 2-0 or 3-0 up, to check out some plan B scenarios. It would actually do a world of good, in my opinion.
