    Well, since no one else has started this I figured I will. Anyway, the US has done well and indeed deserved to go ahead. However, one mistake and New Zealand have equalized. The All-Whites (NZL) have done well to absorb the pressure, though.

    USA vs New Zealand [PBP] [R]

    So far, it's 1 - 1

    Goal by Klein. Great Goal, but looked to be offsides.

    Goal by Coveny (NZL). Great Goal. Nice move to receive the ball and then shoot. Very nice soccer.

    NZL keeper has made some amazing saves.

    Impressive play by Nelsen for NZL. We'll see if the 90' he played for United, and the 90' Elliot played for the Galaxy yesterday affect their games this afternoon.

    Other notes, Retro Jersey's look nice.

    Twellman and Kirovski are playing physical up front. It be nice to some cleaner shots.

    One has to think that Elliot will not last the 90 minutes seeing as he just came in on a cross-country flight after playing in LA.

    How's that for a 300th post? Anyway, it is halftime and a good first 22 minutes has been offset by a defensive breakdown and our inability to finish after that.

    Who can go in for Kirovski now? He doesn't look to be doing well (as always). Also, there have been some iffy offsides calls I think, but I am biased.

    For those who are curious, New Zealand's FIFA Ranking is 51 (13 ahead of Scotland).

    Is the university TV crew doing this and feeding it to ESPN? Talk about pathetic. Not even one replay of the numerous completely blown offsides calls and no calls. This refereeing crew sucks, especially the linesmen. Come to think of it, I think they've had maybe two replays the whole match. This looks like a local small-town TV feed IMO.

    That was cool footage. He'll undoubtedly be key for us in the U17s in Finland.

    Kirovski had a great start, but IMO his play has dropped off after the first 15-minutes. Klein is having a great game. Klein is beating defenders 1-v-1 and his goal was sweet !!

    Twellman has looked pretty good also. He's tested the NZ keeper and deserves a 2nd assist on the Klein goal.

    Regarding Marcus Hahnemann: Glad to see him back on the pitch for the USA. Gotta like his distribution, not a single long-kick downfield. However, he sure got smoked near-post on that NZ goal...

    If Hahnemann would have saved that shot, it would have been an absolutely amazing save. Coveny's shot was awesome.
