Well the Dutch have scored twice, once at each end in the 1st half. We are tied but we don't deserve it. We will have to see how Hayes adjusts this time. Of course the Dutch coach also needs to adjust.

Total domination by the Dutch, which should be leading at least 2-0 if not 3-0, and instead owing to a fluky own goal its 1-1 at the half. Oh, soccer can be cruel (if you're a Dutch fan).

 

Just about every US player looked bad but you have to give it to the Dutch. They played fantastic at both ends.

 

So many players playing out of place, two of them need to be playing on the bench.

 

That was impressive, it’s a miracle that it is 1-1. The Dutch played us off the field. I’d imagine that Cruyff is looking down with a smile on his face right now, irregardless of the missed opportunities.

Naeher with the veteran move to force the timeout to try and stop the bleeding.

Emma earned her paycheck at Olympics. Now she's breaking in new players, which we all know needs to be done. Patience is required, tho it has always been at a minimum on this board.

Oh that was ugly. Rarely see the US look like headless chickens to that extent. The Dutch were not afraid of Shaw at all, and Rose reverted to 2023 form. Davidson wasn't great, but Nighswonger was having an absolute howler.

Good one to send Naeher out on because any other keeper in the pool and the US probably loses that.
