77' Benson gets a yellow for a very bad challenge on the captain who goes down with an injury.

    Yeah, exactly.

I can't wait for slaton to get back. Benson is doing nothing for me.

this is reaaallly boring. Iceland is terrible. And our ladies have only managed one goal? I don't care how bunkered Iceland is, they aren't doing that good a job of it, we have sucked.

And this Wendy chick is getting on my nerves again. Is that who is calling the game with JP? Sounds like her.

I have to agree with those who are concerned about the US tactics. If we can't bust Iceland's bunker, what's going to happen if Norway or especially China get a lead on the US in China this September?

I seem to remember reading that there were similiar weather conditions at the US/Iceland game in Charlotte. But I could just be wrong.

80' (?) Hamm takes a corner, someone heads it, GK gets it.

Now their talking to Aly. She looks like a drowned rat.

81' Loose ball in the box, but another shot goes wide right.

81' ISL sends a ball into our box, Siri snags it easily.

We are going to get beaten.

I have seen some flashes of creative play from the youngsters but I expect April to coach that out of them before China.

    Exactly.

    ----

This is why I wished Wambach was on the roster. Her height would have been very helpful in this half with CP out.

I wonder if the words "Telegraphed Pass" are ever uttered in practice.

The US players look EXACTLY where they are going to pass and then they pass there. VERY easy for even a poor player to defend.

    Nope.

But the Charge did take a Dartmouth player in the 1st round of the draft this year.

    No Penn players either. :(

Hamm WOTM only b/c they have to give it to an American.

    2 minutes of stoppage time.

ISL sure looks like they're celebrating.

Some fan is running across the field. That's the most exciting part of the game so far :p

    Another dottir for a dottir.
