Don't think the fans will get a Hamm fix today. :)

Looks like Nomar showed up for nothing.

I have not been impressed by North Korea. Good touches in the build-up, but an utter lack of creativity in the final third and bad defensive organization.

    78':
NK misses a chance on an open goal as the US goalkeeper misses the punch.

Well, the North Koreans will have more reason to complain after that penalty kick.

Yeah. They had a bottom corner mini ad for the game tomorrow, didn't miss anything on screen. Too bad I have to work. Would like to see how the new Soldier Field looks.

MacMillan with a shot on goal in the 86', picked up by the keeper

They did have some very good shots but Scurry played well. But too many poor attempts.

Lack of composure and experience, to be expected really. Lots of talent and energy, just a shame they were in such a tough group as I think they would have grown in the tournament.

Its really too bad that North Korea drew such a competitve group. Good team needed to finish their opportunities. Bizarre reffing. Abby's first goal should have stood.

And what was with those two Korean yellow cards? Both looked pretty bogus. Thought the Korean was getting a PK when the whistle blew........

Good move to take out Wambach. Thought for sure she was heading for another yellow.

Mac looked good, such a cannon of a shot.

The ref was brutal. But at least she was fair when she was dishing out her BS.

I was hoping for NKR to get least one goal. They were hustle and very sharp. I liked em.

Bri's saves were bank. Although, i thought she was going to get burned when she missed the one punch.

Milbret looked tired around the 40ish mark. Not the spark plug I remember.

WOW, I didn't see a penalty, I saw a perfect goal scored by Wamback, why she pulled the goal back, beats me.

    More like a -6.

NKR should have had a PK near the end there, instead a NKR foul AND yellow?

    No way in hell.

Reddick had a very good defensive game, but she has trouble getting the ball out of the back.

    a few thoughts-

cat is a menace - forget that she scored twice (if that's even fair)... she anticipates the play better than almost every woman in the sport NOW - she is also an impressively fierce competitor - now i kinda know the girl and she is very polite, cute and friendly... but if you are wearing the wrong color shirt LOOK OUT because she willput ya down! - by the time she's finished, IMO she will be among the greats of all-time

is it just me or is bivens a completely different player in MF? the other day she looked very unsure in the back, but today i was very impressed - leave her on the wing! she showed great confidence in taking on defenders

yeah wagner has showed poor form lately, but i say she looked a lot better today - i also thought she looked a little slow, but that could be due to having less PT - in any event, she showed better touches, directed traffic better than some here are giving her credit for and tried some cheeky lobs that nearly paid off - give her a break for once... although i still feel she should NEVER leave her feet to tackle!

it was great to see mac back in action - she seemed to shake off some rust as the second half wore on - today i was worried that she would not be a factor in the cup run, but now i believe she will play a role - oh! and i know she was fawcett's ad-hoc nanny over the summer... does that have anything to do with her wearing that robot-looking head dealie as well? that thing weirds me out a little

    what's up with millie?

nice solid showing from roberts - she's another gamer

despite seeing it 6 or 7 times, i still cannot explain why the PK was called

and finally some advice for whoever's ahead: GET OUT OF ABBY'S WAY! you will only get crushed - that girl was all over the field in the first half - i'm still amazed that she was seen as a bubble selection until late - the german announcers on eurosport think she is an incredible player and one-hot mama - one dude suggested that hertha berlin should sign her lol

    3. North Korea 3 pts, -1, 3 goals
    4. Nigeria 0 pts, -11, 0 goals

WOTM: The Big Cat. Meow! :D

Tiff and Aly: Not very impressive.

    Scurry rocks!

Glad to see Big Mac Back.

    Ref: -12.0 rating
    1. Could someone tell me WHERE THE HELL was the foul to reward Abby's PK?
    2. It should have been a PK award to NK, but noooooo. Yellow card to the NK player for diving?

TMN: Too Many Nomars on TV (and too bad he travel all this way from Boston to see his fiancee sit on the bench).*

*BTW How did one fan knew Nomar was coming to the match?
