    JK is in shock.

He has no answers and just needs to resign immediately.

The worst thing that could have happened to us was the players having a chip on their shoulder for a few game span in Copa Centenario because fans dared to fairly be dissatisfied with the team. That was really acknowledged not as an indictment of the players/player pool, rather of the manager. But they took it personally and used it. However, in the surrounding stints that naturally faded away, and this is what we've gotten. Problems have been compounded when there was any sort of attrition, and Jurgen couldn't lean on the many holdovers or few starting caliber players he's actually integrated effectively. So we've ended up with results like 4-0 vs. Argentina or these last two. And now it matters more, so we are in some serious peril as a program. Missing the World Cup would be an enormous setback for the program. There's one way that's much likelier than the other to avoid that. The choice should be easy to any human being acting rationally.

Costa Rica potentially just did us a big solid, and we should think of sending them a gift basket of American treats like Swedish Fish if they put the final nail in the coffin.

I've suspected for a while now that the growth of the sport has been just comfortably impressive enough that our collective player consciousness has lost that "us against the world" mentality.

I know...it's a rough time to be a fan. Brooks is still young by CB standards at least.

I seriously wonder how much they really care. I'm pretty sure Chandler doesn't and never has.

So are you in favor of regime change? Thoughts on Jesse Marsch?

Some of these guys have been forever tainted by the Klinsmann stench. For the love of entertaining football, save the young guys before it's too late!

I am fully blue zone here.

He physically looked in shock, and almost seemed like he was going to cry.

No thanks...that will guarantee no chance Bradley ever loses his place in the starting 11.

If we're going the retread route, give me Bruce over Bob.

This is like saying, nope, I don't want that hamburger you're offering me. It's not haute cuisine enough for my sophisticated tastes. I'm just gonna keep eating this steamy pile of shit that's here on my plate.

If you have to, you pour bath water on a dumpster fire and be thankful. You don't wait around for Perrier while it burns.

I'd take arena in a hot second.

[edit-- what is the zeitgeist that made me type "hot second" when I hadn't seen the post above? Weird.]

He basically shat all over JK, US player development, and the lineup choices.

We need a coach who can maximize our talent. I doubt anyone involved in American soccer can do that. If we are willing to miss a World Cup then go ahead.
