Hey, but at least I'm drinking Laphroaig! Of course, that means I'm $70 in the hole in addition to being inebriated, but hey, what better way to end the day?
Popularity in soccer drastically increases.... USMNT performance drastically decreases.... One's got to go.
Oh, I'm way past the stuff that only damages your liver. The way USMNT has been trending I'm into bone marrow of buried zoo animals.
Klinsman said that he told the players "It won't be the last time they lose 4-0 in their career." The man has just lost his mind.
That's his line, and as far as I could see, Gulati was nowhere to be seen. Doesn't have the stones to show up to that, won't have the stones to make a change. If anyone thinks anything is changing, they're kidding themselves.
Klinsmann always said he wanted to guide US Soccer into a different era. Now he finally has. The 1980's.— Adrian Healey (@AdrianHealey) November 16, 2016
I am so depressed. I know everyone loves to blame MLS when some players under perform, but dear god, what is going on with some of our Bundesliga players? Brooks was the one guy I had penciled in for the next few years and he had arguably the worst performance tonight I have ever seen a US cb have and I have been watching the games since the late 80's.
Can't wait for the "US has to thrive when their backs are against the wall" narrative to be absolutely beat to the ground in the run up to our next WCQs
Players were atrocious outside Wood/Pulisic earlier on. But they had a severe lack of opportunity given all the shit performances around them. But the players aren't this poor. If in fact the players have quit on the coach, you need to replace him. Finding a good coach for mentally weak players isn't as easy as some assume. Finding a good coach for players who can't execute their 1v1 situations is nearly impossible. Finding a coach who can iron out the tactical plan and give confidence as a whole however is doable. Some of the names tossed around like Arena are Kinnear simply show how little some fans know about this sport and MLS. They'd be atrocious appointments. You either take a chance on a Pareja or you go after one of the coaches I've outlined before, extremely experienced globally who have a track record of outperforming their level of talent. Arena's garbage in MLS. No need for that crap.
